~Thompson Tales~: May 2013

http://www.thompsontales5.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html

Friday, May 31, 2013. Sometimes I wonder if I'm just too far behind to even try to keep up any more! After my birthday, which was relatively uneventful, May was kind of a random month, full of soccer, field days and building things. Here are my sweet teacher gifts from my sister. Then there was Nate playing some soccer and scoring the one and only goal his team had the entire spring season. Here he is lain' it down to block the goal. cutie! Finally, Nathan's sidewalk chalk drawing of, guess what. And the...

Saturday, August 31, 2013. I had a little break between classes so we hit the road! First, we checked out Niagra Falls. Then it was on to the Hill Cumorah- that was awesome! We of course stopped by the Joseph Smith homes- Alan was so kind to pose for pics! This first one was in a little log cabin where the family first lived. Then, they built a bigger house. Joseph Smith hid the plates under this hearth- cool! And no, Nathan is not peeing on the tree- he has his hands in his pockets! I'm on a roll! Watch...

http://www.thompsontales5.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

Thursday, January 31, 2013. Whew, onto January! Well, at least I'm into the current year now! Of course, the big event in January is Scott's birthday! He turned 12 years old- now we have 2 priesthood holders in the house! He celebrated with family and had fun with some friends. Some other cool things that happened. The little one pictured above was about the size of a dime- they were teeny, tiny! The problem- mantises are meat-eaters- there was no meat in the house for them to eat, plus they were super t...

~Thompson Tales~: October 2012

http://www.thompsontales5.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Wednesday, October 31, 2012. HUGE month for Alan! Oh my gosh, how is it possible that my baby is 15? Here's the birthday boy. Here he is in his new sweater that he loves! And here he is with the friends he had over for a party. And after all the partying was over, we of course had the family over for some pumpkin carving. Yes, this is in my living room- we just didn't all fit in the dinning room this time. Finished products- the pumpkins, not the boys- we're still workin' on them! Can you believe it?

Welcome to the Woods. Thursday, May 29, 2014. I got to go on Lane's 1st grade Field Trip to the Diary Farm! I love going on field trips :) This one was neat because we got to learn all about how milk farms work. And this one is just down the road from us! The kids got to see some goats and sheep and lots of cows! They took us on a tour of the whole place, showed us where they milk the cows, where they store all the feed and store the milk. And then we got to play on the tractors! Posted by wood family.

Tuesday, April 9, 2013. McKay taught Bridget how to turn on the I-pad and find her own apps. As you can see, she quickly learned her way around! She's even taught new I-pad tricks/maneuvers to several people in our ward lol. She also knows quite a few animal sounds . . . . And body parts . . . Since learning to walk, Bridget's new source of entertainment is spinning around in circles for minutes at a time. She'll spin until she falls down and then hop right back up and start spinning again. I'll put up p...
