So Ryan, Gavin and I took a trip to the Hoggle Zoo for the first time. What a perfect day it turned out to be! The weather was very nice and it was not crowded at all. Black Bean and Cabbage Stew. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 large onion, chopped. 1 leek, chopped. 3 garlic cloves, minced. 2 tablespoons chopped fresh marjoram or thyme. 1 1/4 lbs. potatoes, coarsely chopped. 14 oz can black beans. 3 1/2 cups low-sodium vegetable stock. 6 oz cabbage or scallions, shredded. 1 Heat oil in a large saucepan. Add onion and leek and sauté for 3 minutes. Add garlic and paprika and continue to sauté for 2 minutes. Total Fat 9 g.

Friday, May 22, 2009. Protein and snack bars! If you are trying to get healthier, and lose some weight and add muscle, these two products can help. I am eating 5 times a day now, morning, mid morning snack, lunch, pm snack, dinner and sometimes a snack after dinner. I am needing more protein in my diet ( aren't we all ) and am finding these as an awesome meal replacement. I am doing awesome eating so often, and am able to still have my CARBS!
