30 Days of Seeing the Beauty in My World. Just another WordPress.com site. Day 8 – The Beauty of the Scent of Spring. By The Nonconformist Mom. Tags: apple trees in bloom. Early this morning I went for a walk and during much of it I found myself breathing in deeply to take in all the smells of spring. Everything was quiet and still, which seemed to enhance the aroma of spring and not have it lost as the other senses focus on the surrounding activity that begins to come alive with the day. 30 Days of Seeing the Beauty in My World. Just another WordPress.com site. Day 10 – There’s Beauty in Dirt. By The Nonconformist Mom. What kid isn’t drawn to dirt? Little feet, blackened on the bottom, dirty fingernails and smudged faces are all signs that a child has been deveolping their creativiy in the presence of dirt. Dirt that we adults want washed off and to which we don’t give much thought. 8220;The poetry of the earth is never dead.”. Day 9 – The Beauty of Design. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Ever since Satan disguised himself as a serpant, snakes have gotten a bad rap. Just another WordPress.com site. Will Traditional Forms of Discipline Keep You From Connecting with Your Child? One mom thinks so… and is it a surprise that I don’t agree? This week a friend asked me to comment on the blog entry of the mother of a 3 year old that never punishes her child. Just another WordPress.com site. A Little Encouragement for What Sometimes Seems Like an Uphill Task. Another May has come around meaning the end of another homeschooling year with a long summer to which we look forward. I know many homeschoolers may feel a bit of burn out and might even ask themselves, Do I want to do this again next year? But when you look back over a year’s time, you will see that you really have accomplished more than you realize. Even those things that you think are keeping you ...

Just another WordPress.com site. I often enjoy walking after dark and being able to get a fleeting glimpse into the homes on the way. This glimpse reveals a moment in the life of a stranger and tonight an elderly woman unknowingly shared a quiet slice of her evening with me and sparked thoughts for this post. Will they ever be alone with their thoughts for long stretches of uninterrupted time? Will they be inspired by a great idea only to have it lost after being interrupted by a text? Only time will tell.

To See Thee in the Heights
To See Thee in the Heights. Thou hast brought me to the valley of vision, where I live in the depths but see Thee in the heights; hemmed in by mountains of sin I behold Thy glory! Sunday, April 22, 2012. Best Legacy. Ever. There have been so many lessons for me in the way David finished out his life. He had been caught in lie after lie and sin after sin. And here he is at the end of his life, making great preparations for what? God only uses sinners! Great news for me. :). He could have been busy trying ...
To See The Glory - Our walk with the Lord and our desire To See the Glory
To See The Glory. Our walk with the Lord and our desire To See the Glory. Update on the Van. On January 19, 2014. I realized that we never gave the final update on the van that was purchased partially with donated funds. We put the van to good use while we were working in Villa Mella. Many trips to the capital and back (about 1/2 hour drive each direction.) This allowed us to also get away a couple of times as a family for short stays in Sosua and even a resort stay for some needed rest. On May 21, 2013.

When Children Smile, God Smiles Back
When Children Smile, God Smiles Back. There's something about the smile of a child. It brings true happiness. This blog is a recollection of the amazing times that the Ukrainian orphan kids and their smiles have given me. July 6, 2011. Neighborhood Kids LOVE US! Well, every day we brought the kids outside Frisbees, jump-ropes, and soccer balls to play with. We've brought these things every year, but this year's hit was the new things we brought, such as face painting and glowing bracelets! These two thin...
To See The Place
To See The Place. Seeking hope, beauty, and love in the world. And now for something completely differentHappy Birthday Dad. I’m standing on a small stage, I’m in 7. Grade, 13 years-old and awkward as all get-out, my classmates, glassy eyed-stone faced, are staring at me. I’m holding a stuffed animal parrot upside so as to give the illusion that my make-believe parrot is a dead parrot and I’m shouting angrily in my best British accent lines from a Monty Python skit:. 8216;E’s not pinin’! With Bill Murray...
