Running for Marge: On
http://runningformarge.blogspot.com/2010/08/on.html
Because Alzheimer's sucks and running doesn't. Saturday, August 21, 2010. It's the end of another week of training. And I'm tired. Tuesday after work I met up with my teammates in Central Park for hill repeats. Don't know what that is? It is pretty much like what it sounds like.run up a hill almost as fast as you can, then do it again. We followed that with finishing off about four miles. Then Gatorade! Oh sweet clear liquid! Meghann on the move. Weekend part one: Warriors! August 15, 2011 at 6:18 pm Posted in races. I should have known better than to worry about the obstacles; the real torture was running UP the mountain! We started with a little jog before quickly realizing that we would have to just walk/hike most of it. It was steep! There were only two obstacles on the way up, and those two were nothing compared to the hike itself. And the biggest slip and slide ever (among many other things that I have already managed t...

Just another WordPress.com weblog. Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don’t. Told you →. September 22, 2009. Last week Chuck and I were on vacation in Ireland with his family. This time I really did run on vacation – probably because I wasn’t the only one who had to do it! I got in three (somewhat hilly) one hour jogs at a moderate pace. I have no clue how far I ran, but I don’t think that matters so much. It was really beautiful terrain and. Made running a bit more enjoyable. Told you →. Enter...

Coach on the move. A runner is a runner. June 10, 2010 at 2:23 pm. In the June issue of Runner’s World, there’s a Pearl Izumi ad that made me sad, at first, and then really angry. The paragraph on the next page begins, The marathon used to be an elite athletic contest. These days, it’s an all day affair where some people mosey across the finish line seven hours after they started. One of the things I love about running (or what PI might call. Where does this negativity com from? So please join us at the ...

Peanut Butter and Chocolate. Sunday, November 22, 2009. Philadelphia Half Marathon - 11/22/09. Notes from the Philadelphia Half Marathon - I'll put in a more concise written form later on. Overall time - 1:38:23; Overall Pace - 7:30. Second fastest half marathon time - Missed a PR by only 3 seconds (1:38:21 at the Long Branch Half in 5/2009). The weather was absolutely perfect - in the 50s and sunny. The pace group keeps me on pace and allows me not to vary my pace considerably. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
