In the centre of Reykjavík. Just in time to witness a beautiful sunset. The hill is the site of the Perlan. A revolving restaurant which situated on top of hot-waters tanks which supply almost half of Reykjavík’s water needs. Views from the Perlan at sunset the sun sets over the Atlantic Ocean. We are such S/F geeks that we succumbed to temptation and took an off road Lord of the Rings tour with Nomad Safaris out of Queenstown, NZ. The guides were very good, and shared their handy dandy books which showed stills from the movies so we could compare them with the actual film sites we visited.
