Sunday, June 1, 2008. Dancing and campground gig. Friday, May 30. We arrived at the campground, which is so quaint as to be hard to be believed. We have a river running by less than 10 feet from our cabin, and the sound is so soothing. We had dinner consisting of a Sorrell Grass soup, lamb sausage with veggies, and ice cream for dessert. I’ve got to say that I love how much ice cream the Norwegians eat! Sorry I missed out on the Pooh cones - Carol and I like to do those, too! June 13, 2008 at 11:20 AM.

Tuesday, June 10, 2008. I found out late last night that the Alta Museum is open until 9 pm, rather than 6 pm as we’d thought. This changed our plans drastically – we can now take the 4 pm boat back to Alta! So, we slept in late, had a delicious breakfast at the hotel, and took our time packing up to leave Hammerfest. Tuesday, June 3, 2008. Boat ride and sami. Tuesday, June 3. From there we wandered towards “home,” mostly because we were becoming sunburned and thought we needed to find some shade. We stopped in for scooped ice cream and took it to the city park to watch the birds while we ate. We saw a lot of hoodies playing in the water. The hotel front looks more like a theater than a hotel, but it is a terrific place to stay to see the sights.
