These gardens are where I did my Horticultural training. It has changed a lot since I was there last, but it was still beautiful. A new entrance water feature. Stonescape in the japanese garden. Spring crocus and ivy. Mom and me in the new stone archway. Hamamelis Mollis (Witch Hazel). It smells like honey. Snow Drops and Ferns mix textures.

Dan and I both were sick for most of our two weeks off at Christmas. And I have barely used my camera since August. hence no new posts. Summer has a few sights and smells that to me make it summer! The smell of wild roses blooming. The fresh tang of the ocean on a hot summer day. The feel of a sandy beach under the toes. The sight of hay being harvested. The bales seem to dot the fields forever. Now that Dan and I live out in central saanich.

The Mann Fam Side B. The rantings and ravings of the "other" Mann family. Monday, September 17, 2007. As the air becomes crisp again and the leaves begin to turn, it seems the end of summer has come. I can't say that I am all that upset. I really do love the feeling of a new season's approach. The subtle changes that become more rapid and obvious, and finally plunge you right into the middle of the new season. As season's go I think fall is my favorite. I LOVE it!
