Acoustic Pickers: 1981 Guild D-25M
http://acousticpickers.blogspot.com/2012/05/1981-guild-d-25m.html
The pursuit of vintage and other lonely acoustic guitars. Monday, May 28, 2012. Spent a glorious Memorial Day weekend in New Hampshire's lakes region strumming and picking on my latest Craigslist find, a 1981 Guild D-25M. This is a classic Dreadnought-sized guitar added to the Guild line in 1968. It is the most popular Guild model ever built. Originally an all-solid Mahogany guitar, the D-25 was switched to a Spruce top and a laminated Mahogany arched back in 1976. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Acoustic Pickers: 2011 Martin D-18P
http://acousticpickers.blogspot.com/2013/10/2011-martin-d-18p.html
The pursuit of vintage and other lonely acoustic guitars. Saturday, October 12, 2013. When I received this brand new guitar I was initially disappointed as it played all buzzy and was in serious need of a proper set-up. Now that I have gotten it back from my guitar tech, though, I can't stop playing it. What a difference! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The pursuit of vintage and other lonely acoustic guitars. Friday, March 8, 2013. Guitar Hero (4): Eric "Slowhand" Clapton (1939 Martin 000-42). Eric Clapton's storied career as a guitarist and singer-songwriter goes back 50 years. Raised by his grandparents in England, and starting on guitar in his teens, he is the only three-time inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, having been honored as a band member of the Yardbirds and Cream, and as a solo artist. The Martin company has since successfully c...

Acoustic Pickers: 1981 Yamaha FG-336SB
http://acousticpickers.blogspot.com/2013/02/1981-yamaha-fg-336sb.html
The pursuit of vintage and other lonely acoustic guitars. Saturday, February 9, 2013. Here's another interesting vintage Yamaha guitar I recently plucked from eBay. The Yamaha FG-336SB was made from 1977 to 1981. It has a beautiful sunburst finish and an iconic Gibson songbird-style pickguard. The FG-336SB is a dreadnaught-sized guitar with a very comfortable thin neck and loud resonant tone. With a professional set-up, it really shines as demonstrated on the YouTube video I found below. My first guitar ...

Acoustic Pickers: 1998 Martin HD-28
http://acousticpickers.blogspot.com/2014/04/1998-martin-hd-28.html
The pursuit of vintage and other lonely acoustic guitars. Saturday, April 26, 2014. I traveled a little out of my way for this 1998 Martin HD-28, enticed by its alleged great condition and a drop in asking price below Blue Book value. I pounced immediately and was not disappointed. This is another Craigslist beauty! The Martin HD-28 is an updated version of the 1930s/1940s version of the Martin D-28. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
