For the love of things cheap, country, crafty and creative. Wednesday, August 21, 2013. One of the coolest things about raising new chickens is finding the very first egg they lay as they transition into an adult laying hen. Typically called a pullet egg, they are often diminutive in size and special to find. This one was so tiny and long it just fit in the very bottom of the egg carton! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Urban Farm Girl: The Best Way to Cook Bacon

http://urbanfarmgirlz.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-best-way-to-cook-bacon.html

For the love of things cheap, country, crafty and creative. Sunday, September 1, 2013. The Best Way to Cook Bacon. Did you know that you can cook bacon perfectly in the oven? I love doing it this way. Use your broiler pan and lay out the bacon. Its o.k. if they overlap a bit. Then throw it in a 425 degree oven for about 20 minutes give or take dependent on your desired bacon crispness and viola! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Bringing Urban Farmers of Northern Colorado Together. Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Garden in a Box. The City of Greeley is hosting a really cool program called Garden in a Box. This is a program that offers a predesigned plant bed and plants for one lump sum. If you are a City of Greeley citizen you can get a discount of $25.00 off the purchase price. The plant materials in these kits have been chosen for their hardiness and suitability in our area. I recommend giving it a try! Hurry and make your order.

http://urbanfarmerexchange.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Bringing Urban Farmers of Northern Colorado Together. Monday, July 16, 2012. A google search turned up the following idea. I placed them in the basement between two tea towels. Thursday, August 13, 2009. I am a recovering bee hater. Being stung over 10 times as a child will create that fear and hatred. However, as an adult gardener I see their role and importance everyday in my yard. Without them, I would not be harvesting the bounty that I have! I'm sure you have all heard about the recent plight of the honeybees. The decline of them recently is very real and scientists still are not sure why. Some attribute. But they really do not know why. Through this research she is able t...
