I'm still disappointed that he hasn't brought the one thing I've asked for for the past 4 Christmases we've spent in Michigan: SUN. No snow. :-(. It was soooo cold the day we visited Santa's House, the girls actually waited in the car for most of the time while we waited in line to get in. This guy just got his braces off.

Overall, being part of a multi-family co-op has been good for us in the past, but even so, we are glad things worked out this semester for us to be home doing our own thing. Saturday, August 3rd, began with a dedication and memorial service on board the USS Edson, followed by self-guided tours and a box lunch. The day ended with a banquet at the Bay Valley Golf Resort. This guy (or gal, we have no idea) will not look as pretty when it's an adult: then, it will have black wings and look much more menacing. But for now, the green outfit is kind of cute. It was a chilly, windy morning but it was great and we are all glad we did it! Another fun Michigan memory! You can't tell from this photo, but the bridge is 5 miles long! The Webb of Life. Friday, September 26, 2014. On a beautiful September day, we visited the Renaissance Festival in Holly, Michigan. We're studying the Medieval time period this year so the Renaissance Fest gave us a preview of what's to come next year. We saw all kinds of amazing things! One favorite thing was the pickle peddler who yelled, "PICK- -LES" and cracked us up. No photo of him, unfortunately. We did buy a pickle from him for two dollars. It was a huge pickle! Must have been due to our cheering!
