Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Fireworks Over The Bay. Yesterday morning we did a few chores around the house, made a Home Depot and Walmart run, and stopped by the bank to deposit large sums of money (wifey comment, “Yeah, right! 8221;).  We were able to get the material needed to repair the water filtration system so I will be able to get that back on line shortly.  Other than that, w*rk encompassed the rest of our day so there’s not a whole lot to tell. Wandering America: Fulltiming Decision

http://wanderingamericawithdandj.blogspot.com/p/fulltime-decision.html

The decision to fulltime was pretty much an evolutionary process. In August of 2003 Darrell's company transferred us to their Marietta, Georgia plant. Rather than rent an apartment we decided to live in our RV at the KOA campground in Cartersville, Georgia. It was during our time there that we stumbled onto Norm and Linda Payne’s ( seeya-downtheroad.com. And Rich and Diane Emond’s ( roamingamerica.com. Websites. The fulltime RVing seed was planted. We lost connection with the Mellos over the next 30 or so years after I got transferred to duty in upstate NY in 1977 and Jerry back to Idaho that same year . and then I moved on to the civilian world while Jerry became a "lifer" . continuing his career in the USN for some 23 years. Thursday, January 29, 2015. Zero Day in West Texas. While traveling cross country - every so often - we just take a day to do nothing. We don't really do "nothing" - we just don't have a plan on how we are going to fill our day. I call those days "Zero Days" after a term I learned from our RV/Hiking friends Gene and Judi Curp. Quilt Picture For My Sisters. Thick Adobe Walls - Nature's A/C! Check Out that early Electric Stove - Still Works we're told! We had a nice Zero Day today but tomorrow it will be t...

The life of a guy living in China and actually kind of enjoying it. February 11, 2015. The Hazards of Freelance Writing. Several months ago I began writing for a website called Modern Man Jack. It’s a men’s website and the pay rate they gave me was respectable if you wrote frequently enough. When I joined up the guy in charge, Tony, sent me a professional info page detailing how they paid and what they expected out of the writers. It all seemed pretty legit. If any freelance writers happen to read this, ...
