The World from a Weaver's point of view! We started with a walk across Central Park to the MET, where we saw the current masterpiece exhibit, Manus X Machina. We walked up to the Jewish Museum to see a lovely retrospective of Isaac Mizrahi’s. We ended up in lower Manhattan, at a lovely exhibit which included works by my fiber friend Diane Savona. The space was gorgeous, and it did her work justice. The Buddy Warren Gallery. July 30th, 2016 in Blog Entries. Daryl 's Blog has a new post. Unless we were vac...

Dear Alice, Postcards from the fringes: October 2008
http://dearalicepostcardsfromthefringes.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 31, 2008. Dear Friends, A Sad Day. It is with a heavy heart that I write to tell you that Alice passed away yesterday afternoon at her home. I was at 35,000 feet somewhere over the Atlantic and I remember thinking of her, hoping that we would be able to visit with her today. The World has lost another Weaving Great. Tuesday, October 14, 2008. Says 'Crash Course', you had better take he at her word! Wednesday, October 8, 2008. There is no publication date. I rather think it is from the...

Dear Alice, Postcards from the fringes: February 2009
http://dearalicepostcardsfromthefringes.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 11, 2009. Programs, Workshops, and Learning—Oh My! This has been a crazy/busy month, and this morning I decided that "the honeymoon is over". People have learned that I am there, and that there is someone who listens to their complaints (and more positively, their suggestions as to how their local government can run more smoothly and better). And in the midst of all this new experience, I am plugging away at getting things underway for the Guild. Back to the theme. Say YES. November i...

The Weavers Family
Michael, Gill, Samantha and Benjamin Our Life as we live it. This time we are heading off to Peel Forest, which is largely a DOC area. We found a great open space camping ground with perfect areas to put the hammock up and go for nice walks. We have been packing all day and Mike has loaded up the caged trailer, all waterproofed and ready to go! Food shopping has been done (3 lots) and now its time to rest. See you all next year and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR! Gill @ Mudbird Ceramics. Merry Christmas - 2009.
