Slaters in Ames: July 2012
http://cycloneslaters.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 22, 2012. My wonderful cousin, Cyndy, informed me of a Bountiful Baskets site in Des Moines. So we tried it this weekend and I am loving it! We got quite a lot of produce:. 1 bunch collard greens. We saved about $6.00 doing the basket, and we were lucky with the fact I was going to Des Moines anyway. Obviously not very cost effective at this point, but hopefully more people will start using it so we will be able to receive more produce. Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Jay and I went to the library...

Blog Full of Letters: Out with the Old, In with the New
http://blogfullofletters.blogspot.com/2015/02/out-with-old-in-with-new.html
Blog Full of Letters. Out with the Old, In with the New. Christmas 2014 was a whirlwind of fun times for us. We spent the holidays in Wausau visiting lots and lots and lots of family. We hopped around from one party to the next, and even had time to play in the snow. When we left our house on Christmas Eve we barely had enough snow to cover the grass. When we arrived in Wausau it was like a Winter Wonderland. Christmas morning with Gma and Kyiah. Playing games with the Merkey family. La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Blog Full of Letters: Getting Ready for Christmas
http://blogfullofletters.blogspot.com/2014/12/getting-ready-for-christmas.html
Blog Full of Letters. Getting Ready for Christmas. This past weekend was filled with a lot of Christmas Cheer. Saturday the boys made their road race debut at the Rudolph Dash put on by the YMCA! They had such a blast with the whole event, and they were so excited for Santa and Rudolph to be there. (I have never seen Santa lead a bunch of children in pre-race stretches, so that was a first for me too! Luckily, the man in red was content to say hello and not hitch them to a sleigh. Later in the day we fin...

Blog Full of Letters. Remembering Great Grandma Merkey. Last week Brian's grandmother passed away after a battle with cancer. We knew she was sick and we knew this day would come, but after being diagnosed this summer her decline was faster than any of us had expected or hoped it would be. Grandma Merkey was gentle, kind, and loving. We will miss her so much. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). La Crosse, Wisconsin. Remembering Great Grandma Merkey. Blogs of Those We Know. Blog Full of Letters: A Busy Mother's Day Weekend
http://blogfullofletters.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-busy-mothers-day-weekend.html
Blog Full of Letters. A Busy Mother's Day Weekend. Clearing out old nails. A couple hours of sanding, sawing, hammering, and washing later we had a fantastic little playhouse in our yard. The boys were so proud of what they created, and it was all their vision. We were surprised Saturday afternoon when Oma and Papa showed up in our backyard. The boys went right to showing off their new construction. Papa was itching to go fishing, so we took a break and headed to a nearby fishing spot.

Blog Full of Letters. Finding a Rhythm for Fall. This fall has brought the start of new adventures for our family: Oliver started kindergarten, Henry started preschool, and Amy started getting 3 mornings a week to herself. We are figuring out our new routines and adjusting to busier days, and we all have a lot to share with one another at the end of each day. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). La Crosse, Wisconsin. Slaters in Ames: November 2012
http://cycloneslaters.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 27, 2012. Jay got his 18 month and flu shots today. He was so brave! He was a happy little boy all morning, then he had his shots. The crying didn't last long. I think he was done crying by the time we got his coat and hat on. We decided to treat him to Perkins for breakfast since he was up earlier than he would normally be and he had three pokes. At least we have six months before we get anymore pokes! Since he's been napping so late, we've had a few nights where he goes to bed later t...
