I recently decided to open my last bottle of Beaucastel 1985! Originally purchased for around £6 a bottle, some 20 years ago I have fond memories of previous bottles of this vintage. The bottle was then washed out, drained and the wine from the jug poured back in. The tasting sample in the glass was then assessed:.

Wineramailforce: September 2009

http://wineramailforce.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Tuesday, September 22, 2009. I recently decided to open my last bottle of Beaucastel 1985! Originally purchased for around £6 a bottle, some 20 years ago I have fond memories of previous bottles of this vintage. On this occasion - the wine was at it's most magnificent. I opened the bottle and decanted into a large jug, pouring a few mls into my glass just before the sediment hit the neck of the bottle. The bottle was then washed out, drained and the wine from the jug poured back in.

The Wine Rambler | "A German wine label is one of the things life's too short for" - Kingsley Amis

A German wine label is one of the things life's too short for - Kingsley Amis. Gerhard Klein, Grüner Veltliner, Junge Reben, 2013. Posted by Torsten 05 Jul 2015. It's been a busy few months for me. Almost all of June I spent on the road, or at events in London. So to ease myself back into blogging I thought I write about a nice little wine, nothing extraordinarily expensive or with a long and complicated backstory. The Wine Rambler's Wife

The Wine Rambler's Wife. Sunday, December 13, 2009. Wine Rambler's Wife - Introduction. From the Wine Rambler’s Wife. I’m Joanne, and I’m Jim Nash’s wife, among other things. Here’s some background. On the other hand, my drink of choice is Diet Dr. Pepper, though I must admit that I enjoy trying wines that Jim thinks I’d find interesting. H...Jim is seri...

Wine Ramblings, Reviews, & Tasting Notes

Hello and welcome to my wine ramblings and reviews. This is where I try to tell you that a wine tastes and smells like a hundred other things except for grapes. I'm primarily a red wine drinker, but I occasionally enjoy a white wine. You don't need to spend a lot for a good wine, so I generally stay between $10 and $30 per bottle. If you have any comments or questions, please keep them to yourself. Thanks for stopping by. Handcrafted wine glass and bottle charms. 2003 Sweeney Pinot Noir. 2004 Finca El Po...

French expat drinks wine, writes about it. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. March 26, 2015. The wines were both from the same grape, Riesling. One came from Australia and the other one from Germany, both can be found in retail for between $15 and $20. Those are the common points, now we need to taste the difference. Pewsey Vale, Eden Valley Dry Resling 2014. Nahe, Kreuznacher Knonenberg Auslese Riesling 2013. Pewsey Vale : clear, medium lemon with legs. Both wines are good. I would...
