The Cornelio Legacy Film. July 6, 2009 · 4:23 am. This site was created to share the film my grandfather, Carmine E. Cornelio, had taken in 1948 in Winsted Connecticut. His intention was to create a film to take back to his hometown in Sicily with a dual purpose: to allow people there to once again see the faces of their relatives, and also to show them the successful life of the “American Dream.”. I don’t normally photograph raw meat, but in this case I was totally making this up so I thought I needed to document the steps. In the end I was so eager to taste the dish that I forgot to take a photo of the finished product. Anyway, it was delicious! I think the original recipe may have called for a meat temperature of 150 F when removing it from the oven, but we don’t like our pork quite that pink. I’ve raised the temperature in my recipe, so alter the meat temperature to your own tastes as far as pinkness of the meat. The meat thermometer is a must for me when making this. 1 large pork tenderloin (about 14 ounces). 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided. 2 teaspoons fennel seeds.

Just as the photo suggests, this is a recipe for cheesy, creamy, comfort food that tastes just as good in summer as it does on a cold winter day. 1 lb asparagus, cut into 1 inch pieces (no thick ends) – (very thin or slightly pre-cook regular thick asparagus. 1/2 cup chopped almonds, slightly blanched. 1 cup chopped mushrooms. 1 finely chopped yellow onion. 1 cup grated sharp cheese (Swiss was also very good). Ev's serendipitous kitchen. Kale, Lemon Chicken, and Bacon Risotto. I looked at a variety of recipes and, as usual, made one up. My basic philosophy is use more or less of what you like or don’t like. Like more kale or chicken? Add it. Don’t like a lot of bacon, or love bacon? Adjust according to your taste. Here is what worked for our tastes. 1 cup arborio rice (works with orzo too). 3 cups Chicken Stock (used about 2 cups with orzo). 1/2 cup dry white wine. 3 cloves garlic, minced. A little lemon juice.
