Yusuke Tsutsui Photography – blog. When I visited the beautiful historical town of Sawara. The people in town pointed at the posters on the wall and said I should come back to see the big festival. Arriving half way into the day’s procession, I found local people still as friendly and chatty, not stressed out or anything. I stopped by at the bottle shop that I photographed last time. Yusuke Tsutsui Photography – blog. Gate at Kodai-ji Temple. Taking advantage of the long weekend in July, I made a short trip to western Japan. One day was spent seeking peace at a zen temple with calming garden in front of its terrace. Entoku-in at Kodai-ji Temple. Checked out the garden at Chion-in Temple a little way up north along Shijo Street. Unfortunately it was not as pleasing to me. It would be nice to come back in the coldest part of the winter. Leave nothing but footprints. Suddenly the emotions flood through me. It is not flashbacks of scenes. My memory is too poor for that sort of details. But the feelings that I did not even realise I had in me came back through, and they make me feel nostalgic. How did she smile? How did I make her cry? How kind was she, and impossibly stubborn I was. A girl in jogging outfit passes a well-tanned man with only surf shorts and a board under his arm. Breeze pushes up my shirt. My body relax. Why am I doing it?

Leave nothing but footprints. After missing the wedding of my friend, I was off to Sydney to work from the office there for the week. So on the Sunday afternoon, I was already missing the vibe of Melbourne. Flying above the blanket of white stuff, suddenly I was already there. And all too soon, I was on the runway again…. It was going to be a busy month of March, with back-to-back trips, one to Puerto Rico and New York (as I already told you so far), and then back to Tokyo for a few days to re-pack my suitcase for another trip, down to Australia, to attend my friend’s wedding.
