YUCPC has run expeditions to discover and explore new caves ever since the early 1980's and has some impressive discoveries to our name. Our exploration overseas has gone from strength to strength, including expeditions to the Picos de Europa in Spain, Greece, and to the Vercors in France during the 1990’s. Here cages, winding gear and hydraulic engines can still be found in a very good state of preservation. The system was designed by Henry Davy and installed in 1879. The water to drive the engine was taken from dams on the surface. Mining was carried out until the late1880's, but was never commercially successful. Time for a clean up. View my comp...
