For those of you still concerned, you might want to try a cooked eggnog (go to MichaelRuhlman.com and search for eggnog), use store made eggnog and spice it up a bit, or use pasteurized whole eggs, which you can sometimes find in stores, especially around the holidays. I don't recommend using Egg-beaters or similar products. It will not be the same! 12 eggs, separated. 1 1/2 cups superfine (baker's) sugar. 1 quart light cream (half and half). 1/4 cup each of rum and brandy.

Saturday, February 7, 2009. 1 butternut squash, peeled, cubed. 1/4 cup mild onion, diced. 16 oz can chicken brooth. 16 oz can cream corn. 1/8 tsp. cinnamon (optional). 1 tbsp. sugar. Bring one quart water to a boil, add cubed squash, cover and cook until tender. Drain and puree squash. Add onion, chicken broth, creamed corn, cinnamon, and sugar. Bring to a boil.
