When Im not knitting, Im with my daughter and dogs or (trying to)learn the bagpipes. Monday, March 31, 2008. Anisette Wrap done and ready to block. WOO HOO . the wrap is cast off and ready to block. I'm really pleased how it turned out (I've hung it in the window for this pic, so you can see the pattern) and the colour is really pretty. I'm kind of hoping that the blocking de-fuzzes it a wee bit so the pattern will show better. Will keep everyone posted after blocking. I have some things picked out for h...

Monday, 31 July 2006. I've started . so I'll b* *dy well finish! Another wee sock fantasy moment - that one day I will be good enough to produce these! A combination of 2 of my 'loves' - socks and Charles Rennie MacIntosh. The pattern for these beauts (by Dawn Brocca) is available at: http:/ www.dawnbrocco.com/patterns/artnouvearose.html. Does that read as a tadge obsessional? I love having some of my Scottish heritage in my welsh home. Wouldn't these socks just add the glace cherry to my collection?

Laquo; Camping in the woods. Why my blog has been a bit quiet recently. ». A windy weekend at West Dean. I spent last weekend at college, taking another course towards the Foundation Diploma which I am doing. The course was called Connecting Design to Stitch and was taken by Sandra Meech. We then started working into the booklets - doing different exercises on line; shape; tone etc. which Sandra demonstrated. We also tore pages, glued bits back together and generally rearranged things! I decided to stay ...

Laquo; Festival of Quilts. A windy weekend at West Dean. ». Camping in the woods. We decided to make the most of the forecast sunshine last week and went down to Graffham campsite for a couple of days. We had a nice pitch with plenty of room so we put up our awning which was good. Its not the greatest quality (its not an expensive one) but its really nice to have a bit of extra space. We walked in the woods. We saw a couple of deer on one of our walks. I didnt manage to get a photo unfortunately! Comment...

Monday, 25 September 2006. What a difference a day makes! Well, they say lots can happen in a day and that certainly is true. Unfortunately not all of it's good and here's the evidence! First picture is DD2's short Jaywalker hot off the needles and being an anally-retentive sock knitter (or at least a sock knitter who has too many 'lone soldiers' waiting for their partner! Picture 2 shows her dental efforts and Picture 3 is the bold madam having a snooze on my bed, tired out with all her chewing! Isn't i...
