And I figured good choices in that they were drought tolerant, and should thrive nicely in the basket environ.

Monday, March 17, 2008. My chair was a thrift store find planted with sedums, hens and chicks, and thyme. This gift basket planted with a juniper would make a cute housewarming present. My old shoes, worn out around the garden centre, and now recycled. Here is a container made with a thrift store find wire basket. I picked up several of these for about fifty cents each. They make for a quick unique planter; for something really different you can creatively adapt all sorts of objects.

Are there particular kinds of tomatoes that would be better grown in these as opposed to being planted in a right-side up planter or in the ground (eg, cherry tomatoes vs full-sized)?
