My Birding Class Notes For You. May 9, 2011. Spring Bird Class #2 2011. Spring Class #2 5-3-2011. This weekend trip staying at the Guesthouse in Aberdeen. Leave 6 AM from Hwy 512-I5 Park and Ride. Will be back about 7PM Sunday night. Bring 2 lunches. Will eat out dinner and breakfast is at the hotel. Next trip is May 21, meet at Titlow at 8 AM, go to Chamber’s creek and then Steilacomb. Then Potholes the first weekend in June- 2 day Sat Sunday trip. Camp out. Common Spring about 23 common, few rare.

On a breezy but mostly sunny day Kay and I took the ferry from Boothbay Harbor to Monhegan Island and back and although not the peak season for near shore pelagics we did manage to find a few interesting birds, at least for a couple of west coast birders. Thursday, April 06, 2006. Found, at last. Over a month ago, I lost my binoculars. I had left them in my backpack, I was sure. I scoured my room, but a dorm room offers few hiding places. After I had emptied my three drawers and poured my closet out onto my dorm-room floor, I turned to the rest of campus. I sent out emails and visited the lost and found nearly every time I passed it. I prefer birding alone, when I have the privacy to stroke flowers and meet birds in solitude. Springtime birds, here I come!
