Saturday, February 28, 2015. Kid Convos: February 2015. This is more for me, so that I can remember some of the silly things the kids say. I apologize to anyone who comes across this if the dialogue is a little bit TMI for you. George: Mommy, I need diaper. Me: What do you need a diaper for? Do you need to make stinky? George: Nooooooo. No stinky. Me: Are you going to go and take a nap? George: Nooooooo. No nap. Me: Then no diaper. You need to wear big boy underwear. Me: What do you need a diaper for?

Sparrows at Home: Restaurant Review: The Hop - Ice Cream Café in Asheville, NC
http://www.sparrowsathome.com/2015/08/restaurant-review-hop-ice-cream-cafe-in.html
Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Restaurant Review: The Hop - Ice Cream Café in Asheville, NC. It is always a treat when we make a trip to Asheville, North Carolina. It is about a 5.5 hour drive from where we live, so it is not a trip we are able to make often. Not only is the Asheville area breathtakingly beautiful, they also have a huge vegetarian/vegan population. What does this mean for me? More places to eat out at! After a long day playing tourist, we stopped by The Hop - Ice Cream Café. Vegan Strawberry ...

Sparrows at Home: December 2014

Sunday, December 7, 2014. Week in Review: Math and Reading, Bad Burn, He's Rolling! Bridget has been building big numbers with the manipulatives. She gets a bit frustrated sometimes (especially with the hundreds), but I am happy about it. A little frustration is a good thing. It tells me she's learning something new, getting out of her comfort zone, and really needing to use her thinking skills. She's doing very well! And for the last bit of news. Liam is now a roller! Jenny {Sparrows at Home}. Recipe: L...

Children are a Blessing. Wednesday, June 18, 2014. How to French Braid {With a Video}. Here's a super simple hairstyle that you can make if you know how to do a french braid! You can just use a ponytail holder or scrunchie to hold it, but we like to use a Lilla Rose Flexi Clip. To see the video. Thanks! One of the h...

Just A Country Girl. The life of a homeschooling country mama. All content belongs to harleygirl. Please do not use images or content from this site without permission. Friday, July 10, 2015. I never had a dryer before, so it's been odd to have to use one every day. I still put my clothes rack outside when it's nice, but they don't all fit.I also miss my dog. Just little changes that aren't so little when you try to establish yourself again. We have had two birthday parties here and will have one more in...

Our "Fairy Tale" Life: January 2015
http://thetolfs.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 24, 2015. Christmas Trip To Montana (Part 1). Our first stop was in Kalispell to see my parents. After a very long day of driving we made it and were sure glad to be there. The kids actually did really great this trip and the roads turned out to be great. This was a blessing that we left the day after Chrismas because the 27th a storm hit and we made it in to town before the roads got bad. Our favorite stop in MT, St. Regis.riding the horse. They kind of love their only girl cousin!

Sparrows at Home: Week in Review 2015: #30 (Our Last Week of Summer)
http://www.sparrowsathome.com/2015/08/week-in-review-2015-30-our-last-week-of.html
Sunday, August 2, 2015. Week in Review 2015: #30 (Our Last Week of Summer). Our last week before school begins. Wow. Summer flew by fast! While most moms might be getting their kids on a schedule (go to bed early, wake up early) to prepare for the school year, I did the opposite. I let the kids stay in their pajamas all day if they desired, we watched movies late into the night (which is about 9 or 10 o'clock for them), and played all day. Okay,. Bridget will be starting a formal first grade curriculum.
