I have again changed the way I cook my green beans I now roast them! About three years ago I was roasting my potatoes and a light bulb went off. Why not roast my green beans? So I opened a jar of beans and did just that. Buy your green beans! Preheat oven to: 400 for a regular oven. 375 for a convection roast cycle.

You have two options: Boston butt or a fresh picnic . The Boston butt and the fresh picnic come from the pork shoulder which is part of the front leg of the pig. When the shoulder is cut into two roasts you get the Boston butt and the fresh picnic. There are pros and cons to using a picnic or Boston butt. So which one is best? I could not pass that up.
