http://pelagicbirder.blogspot.com/2015/06/sticky-iccy.html
Pelagic working voyages interspersed with local patch and occasional twitch birding news. Friday, 12 June 2015. Recent news of a singing Icterine warbler. Flew overhead, willow warblers. Worth checking out if you like the thought of taking a dog team across frozen Arctic wasteland, coupled with an array of other impressive travel adventures! A lovely twitch with good weather, good company and a cracking bird to add to my 'Scottish' life list! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Handa island skua project.

http://pelagicbirder.blogspot.com/2015/08/masked-maurauder.html
Pelagic working voyages interspersed with local patch and occasional twitch birding news. Thursday, 13 August 2015. The skies around the ship have been largely empty although a very showy Masked booby. Put on a show as it chased the flying fish. A day later one of its' cousins showed up in the form of a Brown booby. Again feasting on the flying fish but on this occasion keeping a greater distance from my vantage point. Flying fish- seemingly on every menu! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). We are OFFh 2.

http://notcornwallbirding.blogspot.com/2013/10/not-quite-back-at-it.html
Wednesday, 16 October 2013. Not quite back at it! Jammed' onto this Rosy Stag! Well, best laid plans and all that.My intention to get back into regular birding fell at the first fence and I haven't been out quite as much as I would like! However, I have 'jammed' onto a few decent birds. A quick look (it turned into an hour! At Ryan's Field on the 7th October (I didn't even have my bins! Allowed quick view of the Lesser Yellowlegs. Just before it was flushed onto the estuary! Finally for now, I had to mak...

The Lizard Naturally: April 2015
http://lizardnaturally.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Nature pics and notes mostly from the Lizard, Cornwall. for all those who brave the wilderness south of Helston! Sunday, 12 April 2015. After a few hints of spring there was quite a delay until migration got underway. The spring influx of Wrynecks to the south west included c3 Wrynecks on the Lizard so far. Good numbers of Sandwich Tern arrived a little later than normal but are a feature of the bays the last few days. No spring post would be complete without a Wheatear. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Birding over my head. Look up, see more stuff. Best of the rest of the recycled highlights. January 11, 2013. I was browsing recent Berksbirds photos. Last night and noticed this striking fellow. In a picture taken by Linda Garner-Langham at the west end of Sandford Lake. Fraser Cottington has confirmed that the bird is still present today, and is looking good for Dinton CP’s first. Landlocked birder with limited horizons, usually not looking at them. View all posts by PaulBT →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Garden | Birding over my head
https://birdingovermyhead.wordpress.com/garden
Birding over my head. Look up, see more stuff. Birding Over My Head pays a lot of attention to my garden, since that’s where I do a substantial amount of my birding. Birding is occasionally done, even deliberately, from the front garden; it has a lawn and a mature rowan tree, which attracts thrushes, Starlings, and even Waxwings. The brook after heavy rain. The marsh soon after dawn. Some distance to the W there ...

Cornwall - Beside the Sea. Our life in and around the north-coast village of Portreath . Thursday, 24 July 2014. Just a hint of rain this morning. We’d decided on Padstow for my last day and used the park and ride as the town is always difficult to park in. There were loads of boats in the harbour and the place was buzzing …. There were so many children crabbing and they all seemed to be catching plenty …. Thursday, July 24, 2014. Wednesday, 23 July 2014. Photos from our early walk this morning ….
