A lifestyle and travel blog. Afternoon Tea, Bonbar Newcastle. Over the last few years I’ve began thinking more about the kinds of presents I buy and instead I’ve started giving gifts that will give experiences and make memories such as theatre tickets and weekends away. Last Christmas I bought my Mum and Gran vouchers for Afternoon Tea at The Great British Cupcakery. What’s not to like about lots of miniature deserts and spending time with loved ones in a stately home or fancy bar? The Grade II listed ma...
Pre-travel tips for a worry free holiday - Cranberry & Apricot

A lifestyle and travel blog. My pre-travel tips for a worry free break. Perhaps it’s just me but I like to make a check list before I go to prevent having a ‘Kevinnnnnn! 8217; moment like on Home Alone. I feel like I need everything to be ‘complete’ so that I can enjoy my holidays and not be left with a niggling feeling that I may have forgotten to do something. Make a list of the clothes you intend to take, preparing them as outfits to avoid taking too much. Set more than one alarm to avoid sleeping in.

A lifestyle and travel blog. My favourite photographs of 2016. This year I’ve became really interested in photography. Despite having a DSLR for 3 years, I’d never actually ventured out of automatic as I was clueless about the other settings! It dawned on me that it was pointless having such a good camera if I wasn’t going to use it to it’s full potential so I began looking into photography courses around Newcastle. Goodbye Chip, I’ll miss you. 8216;s Autumn bucket list, the colder weather didn’t s...
November Highlights - Cranberry & Apricot
http://www.cranberryandapricot.com/november-highlights
A lifestyle and travel blog. November seemed to be the month where I stopped ignoring things and finally got around to doing something about it. I eventually transferred most of my files from my Mac to a hard drive freeing up 600KB of space in the hope it would be back to running like new. I’m aware I didn’t really get rid of the problem, more just moved it elsewhere but out of sight, out of mind! Pancakes at Flat White Kitchen. A night trail through Newcastle. A walk at Plessey Woods. One Sunday we wrap...

A lifestyle and travel blog. January & February Highlights. After blogging consistently for a whole year, I decided to take 2 months off as I had other more important things going on in my life that I needed to prioritise. Last year I blogged every Sunday and as a way of keeping pressure off myself I’ve decided to blog when I want to not because I feel like I have too. This post marks my last blog post of 2016! It wasn’t until the clocks went back in Autumn and it became dark when I left work that ...

Bucket List > Splodz Blogz
http://splodzblogz.co.uk/bucket-list
It’s not just about ticking things off a list, but about experiencing what life has to offer and creating some fabulous memories to last a lifetime. My “to try” list is constantly evolving as I complete challenges which lead on to others, am inspired by new ideas and suggestions, and see what others are doing. To be honest, I don’t expect to ever conquer everything on it, but it’s a great thing to have to motivate. Me to try new things and complete challenges. It’s all about trying. New things, learning.

Cranberry & Apricot - A lifestyle and travel blog
A lifestyle and travel blog. This post marks my last blog post of 2016! Cranberry and Apricot will be 1 at the start of January 2017 and I’ve successfully managed to blog every Sunday for the last 52 weeks. What a relief! I’m so pleased I started a series of monthly highlight posts at the start of 2016 as it’s easy to forget everything that happens each month and is a great way to reflect on the year overall. Here are a few things I got up to in December…. A visit to Edinburgh’s Christmas market. The Eur...

A Little About Us. The yearning to know what cannot be known, to comprehend the incomprehensible, to touch and taste the unapproachable, arises from the image of God in the nature of man. Or where did that inky smudge come from? Tuesday, 29 November 2016. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. A quick post for three cards. The challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. Is Glitter. We all love glitter. I've used the messy get everywhere kind. I've glued it onto an acetate circle, then glued it acetate side up so most of the glitter is trapped underneath. Some still seems to be escaping though. I'm not sure about this. Is it too plain? The next two are for CAS Colours and Sketches.
