Dave and Becky Sharp. Missionaries in La Ceiba, Honduras. Hi guys, long time no post! We’re still in the process of raising support and hoping to return to Honduras, so KEEP PRAYING! As of now, we’re staying with my (Becky) mom in Hampton Roads, VA. We got the chance to hang out with a lot of our friends who are in the area that we maybe haven’t seen since the wedding! Sorry for the lack of updates, it’s just that not much new has happened in our support raising…. Too many exclamation points, I guess!

The well in Honduras has gone in, so progress is getting made there and we’re hoping to get back and lend a hand! They’re raising funds to start building the bath houses and laundry stations! The Sharps are two American missionaries that are living in La Ceiba. They met at Virginia Tech and married after graduation. Moving to Florida, they both started teaching. Over the summer, while on a 10 day missions trip to Honduras, the Lord told them to stay. Returning home only to say goodbyes, they prepared for an indefinite stay in La Ceiba.

And Can It Be? Thursday, September 11, 2008. We were able to witness some of the wor k. They are also trained in how to raise a certain breed of goats for maximum milk production and another breed for their meat. Talapia, a fish that has become popular in U. S. restaurants, are also raised on the farm. This breed of fish reaches a good harvesting size in 4 to 5 months. The picture is of a talapia pond that is churning with hundreds of fish. We got to spend New Years with Dave and Megan! They live right in between here and my parents (how cool is God? Megan and Dave sang at their church that Sunday. Look at how pregnant Megan is! Dave and Belinda's Big Bike Ride. Europe, here we come! Tuesday, September 6, 2011. History, more history and the end of a journey. The size of some of the pieces was astounding. There were huge columns from Egypt and magnificent gate sculptures that would flank a gate of an Assyrian palace. Monday was our last day of sightseeing and we started at St. Paul's cathedral, the architectural masterpiece of Christopher Wren. We climbed all 528 stairs to the Golden gallery above the dome.
