Etape du Tour 2010: Portet d'Aspet
http://conqueringthetourmalet.blogspot.com/2010/03/portet-daspet.html
Etape du Tour 2010. Wednesday, 17 March 2010. After watching the Cyclefilm. DVD, I decided that conducting a reccie. Of the Pyrenees would be a sensible idea - plus it would probably be a lot of fun. I have an extra week of holiday to use up that my girlfriend doesn't have, so I booked flights to Toulouse and away I went. As luck would have it, I found a company called Pyractif. That as it turns out, is run by the same guy who drives the minibus in the Cyclefilm. The climb was a bruising.

Still Going to Extremes: November 2011
http://datameisterextremes.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Still Going to Extremes. The Largely Irrelevant Weight-loss ticker. Tuesday, 22 November 2011. Three months ago I was resigned to missing all of this year's targets, and I have now hit the most unlikely one of all. Having lost over 30 kilograms since July, I am now below my 95kg target for 2011. All I have to do now is stay below it. I have the incentive. The Wild Edric Sportive showed me what I can do if I put my mind to it, and the next big target is next year's Etape. Being a little late sorting ourse...

Still Going to Extremes: 30 years in the waiting
http://datameisterextremes.blogspot.com/2010/08/30-years-in-waiting.html
Still Going to Extremes. The Largely Irrelevant Weight-loss ticker. Friday, 6 August 2010. 30 years in the waiting. Is billed around Bourg. In my first teenage exposure to the Tour de. France on, I believe. With its 21 numbered hairpins. And it always seemed to be won by Dutchmen, Joop. In 1976, and Hennie. The following 2 years. It's still referred to in some circles. As 'the dutch mountain' and rumoured that the local population in the summer months is 60% dutch. I can't vouch for the numbers, but ...

http://tdfetape2010.blogspot.com/2010/06/elimination-times-are-up.html
Welcome and a big hello to this my collection of thoughts on my preparation for the 2010 Etape Du Tour. Thursday, 10 June 2010. Etape 2010 elimination times are up. I'm back from my trip abroad and have found the route and elimination times. Are up on the Etape website. We have 11.5 hours to get from Pau to the Tourmalet. I'm not wanting to tempt fate but this seems to give a minimum average speed of around 16km/h (9.8 mph). I wonder how many people will forget and get caught out? Posted by Stuart James.

Stuart's Etape 2010: BG Fit - A quick Update
http://tdfetape2010.blogspot.com/2010/06/bg-fit-quick-update-well-so-far-so-good.html
Welcome and a big hello to this my collection of thoughts on my preparation for the 2010 Etape Du Tour. Thursday, 17 June 2010. BG Fit - A quick Update. Well so far so good. Two days and 124km later I'm very happy to say the changes made to my positioning as part of my recent BG Fit. Seem to have been successful. My IT band doesn't seem to be grumbling quite as much as in the past few weeks and what's more, I'm certain I'm getting more power into each stroke. I wish I had had this fit back in Jan. L'Etap...

Still Going to Extremes: January 2010
http://datameisterextremes.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Still Going to Extremes. The Largely Irrelevant Weight-loss ticker. Sunday, 31 January 2010. Christmas is cancelled - again. Today, Sunday 31st January, was supposed to be the re-run of the Whitegate Xmas Audax postponed due to bad weather on the Sunday prior to Christmas. Having spent most of yesterday faffing, getting cold weather gear together etc, the car was loaded last night ready for an early off this morning. 300 miles for January, down on last year, but last year wasn't quite as cold. Getting in...

Stuart's Etape 2010: Easy days and travel
http://tdfetape2010.blogspot.com/2010/06/easy-days-and-travel.html
Welcome and a big hello to this my collection of thoughts on my preparation for the 2010 Etape Du Tour. Wednesday, 9 June 2010. Easy days and travel. Thankfully, and I NEVER thought I'd ever think it that let alone write it, work has taken me overseas over the past few days which has meant a period of enforced rest. I've spent a day enjoying the Irish hospitality of Dublin. And then as I type you find me in a cafe in the beautiful German city of Dusseldorf. As for my little niggle in the right leg. L'Eta...

Stuart's Etape 2010: Really? I need to leave my bike at the start overnight?
http://tdfetape2010.blogspot.com/2010/07/reall-i-need-to-leave-my-bike-at-start.html
Welcome and a big hello to this my collection of thoughts on my preparation for the 2010 Etape Du Tour. Friday, 9 July 2010. I need to leave my bike at the start overnight? Like a few others no doubt I've been going through the last few details for the Etape logistics. Perhaps - although essential to get correct as I'd be mighty annoyed if I wasn't able to ride for not having done something as silly as not printing my registration note to take to the number collection point the day before the event.

Stuart's Etape 2010: My R3 - I'm Hoping thats not a Crack
http://tdfetape2010.blogspot.com/2010/05/my-r3-im-hoping-thats-no-crack.html
Welcome and a big hello to this my collection of thoughts on my preparation for the 2010 Etape Du Tour. Sunday, 23 May 2010. My R3 - I'm Hoping thats not a Crack. Sun - and lots of it. So then, how's everyone's bib shorts and cycling top tan going? I'm well on the way to looking somewhat ridiculous with my legs going a rather nice bronze colour. But anyway. I digress. A Crack in the R3? I'm off to the LBS next weekend to have it looked over. With only 2 weeks to go until the Dragon Ride. Food, food, food.
