Etape 2010 training: Etape report - warning it's raw
http://etape2010-training.blogspot.com/2010/07/etape-report-warning-its-raw.html
Etape du tour 2010 - My training log. Tuesday, 20 July 2010. Etape report - warning it's raw. You know I like to post stuff with all the immediate emotions and I've written this within 24 hours of the end. I don't intend to steralise it - so apologies for any inaccuracies and bad language as this is written from memory and without checking the Garmin etc. I went for it from the start as planned. Very aggressive. It was mostly gently downhill and I felt really strong, powering along. 1815km: Cruel , cruel...

Etape 2010 training: 2011 must do event
http://etape2010-training.blogspot.com/2010/07/2011-must-do-event.html
Etape du tour 2010 - My training log. Friday, 30 July 2010. 2011 must do event. I had an email tonight from ASO. Asking for a survey to be completed about a new sportive they are planning. Anyone who has done the Etape this year will probably get the same. I was a bit slow to realise at first but amazed when I saw they are planning to do Paris-Roubaix and using the survey responses to shape the event. I know where I will be on April 11th 2011. Fabian Cancellara wins Paris-Roubaix [HD]. Great to hear some...

Etape du Tour 2010: David Millar - Time Trial in De Panne
http://conqueringthetourmalet.blogspot.com/2010/04/david-millar-time-trial-in-de-panne.html
Etape du Tour 2010. Wednesday, 7 April 2010. David Millar - Time Trial in De Panne. For anyone who wants a glimpse of what it takes to be a professional cyclist, the Garmin readout from David Millar's winning individual time trial ride in De Panne makes for interesting reading. Whilst sipping my morning cup of tea I can't quite work out what is more impressive; the superhuman power output or the flatline heart rate that runs so close to maximum capacity. Take a look for yourself here.

Journey to La Marmotte 2012. A collection of thoughts and ramblings on preparation for the 2012 Marmotte Cyclosportive. Friday, 30 September 2011. Winter bike get ready! With the posh camping booked. And the EuroStar tickets presumably on their way it's perhaps time to think about getting together some kind of training plan. I'll hold off on that thought for another day as it seems prudent, or perhaps a delaying tactic, to get my winter bike the once over. Above: Canyon Ultimate AL. Posted by Stuart James.

With last weekend seeing the clocks here in the UK move forward an hour I like many other people are now able to enjoy a longer ride once clocked off from the office. Hopefully this good weather will continue into the weekend where I'm hoping to get a long long ride in on the Sunday. Posted by Stuart James. Sunday, 25 March 2012. How Much Weight Gain? Alas no&#...

Journey to La Marmotte 2012. A collection of thoughts and ramblings on preparation for the 2012 Marmotte Cyclosportive. Thursday, 29 December 2011. Inevitable Xmas weight gain. So after the usual Xmas over indulgence I'm back at work and by the looks of things I may well be the only person across the entire campus who has chosen to do so. It's eerily quiet. The restaurant and coffee shops are shuttered up until the New Year - we might as well hang up a closed for business sign over the entrance. Of cours...

And no, in this instance I'm not going on about the copious amounts of carbo loading that many people riding the Marmotte are likely to be undertaking as we get to the pointy end of the taper. Above: An Italian View. I'm planning to have a go at the 21 bends on Thursday 5th July. No doubt I'll drop a little post or two along the way. Posted by Stuart James.

Journey to La Marmotte 2012. A collection of thoughts and ramblings on preparation for the 2012 Marmotte Cyclosportive. Friday, 13 January 2012. New Year, New Job. This week thus far has been rather interesting. For one, I started a new job working within the environment I love but within a very different environment. With a working week under the belt, so far so very good with smiling people and a wonderful resonance about the place. Posted by Stuart James. Friday, 6 January 2012. I understand after the...
