The Opinionated One Speaks: Busy Week!
http://charleeturner.blogspot.com/2011/08/busy-week.html
Wednesday, August 31, 2011. I've been a "fishing widow" for the past 3 days, and while I sometimes enjoy the solitude, I miss the spousal unit terribly and am anxious for him to get home tonight! In order to encourage the boss to go with him, I volunteered to work on our normal days off, so instead will be taking off tomorrow and Friday. Can we say, "YARD SALE! LOL I don't usually get to go to them, since I work weekends. I'm a bit excited! Maybe I'll find a new machine to bring home with me! Subscribe t...

The Opinionated One Speaks: Hazel's All Gussied Up!
http://charleeturner.blogspot.com/2011/09/hazels-all-gussied-up.html
Thursday, September 29, 2011. Hazel's All Gussied Up! I am SO pleased! Miz Hazel the Machine has been all gussied up and I'm pleased as punch with the way she and her "skirt" look! It's been a LOT of work taking most of my free time for an entire week, and some of William's free time as well! My poor spousal unit never wanted to get involved with my machines, and yet he always comes through for me! And the same metal after some scrubbing. Check out these rags.this isn't all of them. She's so pretty now!

Blah, blah, blah...: January 2011
http://thecampbellcamp.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 1, 2011. So good to see you! Not that 2010 was all bad, but it was definitely over shadowed by two largely unpleasant events:. The February passing of my mother-in-law at the tender age of 69. Being unemployed for about six months, from April to October. All the same, six months without employment was definitely not the best of times and something I hope to not repeat, ever. And that is just our family! What helps me look back on the year with some optimism:. This was the first summer I...

Blah, blah, blah...: April 2009
http://thecampbellcamp.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 26, 2009. Back at the first of April when we thought Spring might have sprung, the kids were enjoying a nice day out on the swings in the backyard. I remember being small enough to do this. Those were good days! What in the world? I have no idea what my kids are doing here while watching TV, but it looks funny. Sunday, April 5, 2009. It is hard to humble yourself when being taught a lesson by/through your kids. I had one of those experiences this week. A medley by Brynley. What in the world?

A taste of country: Squirrel Poop Pancakes
http://wyofood.blogspot.com/2012/06/squirrel-poop-pancakes.html
A taste of country. One family, lots of food. Friday, June 29, 2012. Spoiler Alert* NOT A HEALTHY BREAKFAST. I like camp food. For some reason few things taste better than food cooked over a fire in cast iron pans. This was inspired by our trip to Yellowstone this summer where a plump little squirrel was always in our camp. Dad: Good morning kids! Kids: Good Morning Dad! Dad: I want you all to know that today’s breakfast is considered a delicacy in some parts of the world. 2 cups of flour. Jeff I know it...

Victorian Costume-foolery | Jean Zimmerman
https://jeanzimmerman.com/bio/savage-girl/victorian-costume-foolery
Wolf Boys and Girls. Mansions of Fifth Avenue. Savage Girl’s Central Park. Cross dressing permeates the world of. How true is all this costume-foolery to the late nineteenth century, when the story unfolds? Was sexual role reversal fact or fiction? How commonplace was it? But Native Americans weren’t the only Victorian males who got in touch with their feminine side from time to time. Of course all sorts of costumes were welcome, not just human ones. We think of Victorian women as feminine to a fault, sw...
