Motorman and meliroq: deux vegans dans la cuisine. Wednesday, November 08, 2006. 175 g/6 oz pinto beans. 125 litres/2-1/4 pints water. 175-225 g/6-8 oz carrots, finely chopped. 1 large onion, finely chopped (we use yellow onions). 2-3 garlic cloves, crushed. 1/2-1 chili, seeded and finely chopped (we use a serrano pepper). 1 litre/1-3/4 pints vegetable stock. 2 tomatoes, peeled and finely chopped (we're too lazy to peel the tomatoes. The soup tasted fine with the skins left on). Oil, for deep frying.

Saturday, December 8, 2007. I've done two of my three yoga micro-routines for the day so far and will do the third just as soon as we watch a couple of taped episodes of Chuck. We just watched Water. Which was excellent, the best in Deepa Mehta's Fire. Trilogy, in my opinion. Or maybe it's a tie with Earth. It was upsetting, though, and I won't be able to sleep if I don't watch something a little lighter as a chaser. So, yeah, on to Chuck. Also, today I ran around two - two! So, a guarded yay. I slept well in spite of having to get up twice during the night to pee, the result of having drunk a gallon of water over the course of the day as part of my hydration plan. I'm going to try to get caught up on all of that, though, starting just as soon as I finish posting here. As for the Soma Quarterman, my sister, who's always up for a road trip, has agreed to drive up with me - hooray! And, I've been trying to pick up the pace on all my runs as I think I tend too hold back more than I should out of fear of not being able to finish otherwise...

Saturday, May 31, 2008. Dylan drama denouement [G]. Dylan, because he's still very little, sleeps in a huge dog kennel in our bedroom. He's got his litterbox, food and water dishes, little fleece blanket and favorite catnip toy in there. I cover it with blankets at night so the big cats don't bother him and also so he doesn't keep us awake all night talking to us. It's his own, private apartment. I cannot tell you how happy and relieved we are to see him feeling back to normal! At a university in the area.

Sunday, March 30, 2008. Yesterday afternoon I finally watched the Freestyle Made Easy. DVD I got along with my Triathlon Swimming Made Easy. Book It clarified some things I hadn't really understood from the book but also, I was shocked to see how far the people modeling the drills on the DVD were gliding on just on a single kick, stroke and core rotation. I decided that today I should really work on my kicking. 2 minutes vertical kick to sweet spot practice. 50 yards fish drill (concentrating on kick).
