We had just reached the paved part of the main road when a cougar leaped from one side of the road to the other. All I saw was a tail and a flash of tan fur. This is not a eulogy. Greetings from The New Normal. April 17, 2015. April 17, 2015. This was the week (or two) that things kind of fell apart. I mean, not to be melodramatic….nothing actually fell apart. We’re all ok. It could be worse. Let me start again. This week, I started learning to hold the important things together with duct tape, let go of toxic relationships/situations, hide my head under blankets whenever possible, and ask for help. Yeah, that’s a bit more accurate. The struggle is real.

Sunset at Mandurah Dolphin Quay. I was in Perth for the past week. The weather was great, and the leaves on the trees were turning to autumn colors. We made a short trip to Margaret river, and on the way there we stopped by the city of Mandurah and had dinner at Dolphin Quay. Honestly, I didn’t think we would see dolphins there, but I was pleasantly surprised to spot one playful dolphin while we were having dinner! This entry was posted in Australia. April 4, 2015.
