Kate on the road. Stories from the life of a modern day nomad. Lessons learned, too soon forgotten. April 8, 2013. I LOVE playing monopoly! Have you ever heard yourself say this? I’m sure you have. it is a puzzling inevitability that everyone over the age of 20 will, at some point, think back to the joys of childhood and focus in on this old family favorite. It’s puzzling, because it is a lie. Nobody loves playing monopoly. Here is what actually happens. The last time i played was in south africa, follow...

Kate on the road. Stories from the life of a modern day nomad. Larr; lessons learned, too soon forgotten. 8220;how do you like living in rwanda? March 25, 2013. People are very polite. and as a result, tend to ask me this question a lot. constantly. daily. it is the most obvious and seemingly innocuous question to ask in order to show interest in my life and i appreciate it. i do. it’s just that… i don’t know how to answer it! http://kellykane.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
News with the McGregor's. Saturday, November 28, 2009. So this time last year we were planning our holiday to Malaysia for Xmas. Thinking this time in 2009 was never going to arrive! I was slightly looking forward to getting all Christmas-y, and briefly thought about purchasing a big Christmas tree from Target that was on special from $200, down to $99, but resisted the urge and have put our small 30cm tall metal ornament (that is doing a fine job) in a corner with 12 silver balls hanging from the ceiling.

Kate On the Cobblestone
Kate On the Cobblestone. Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Vegas Vacation - in August. We flew Spirit Airlines - and though most people complain about Spirit - I paid extra so we could have the front row seats and for us to check baggage - and it was fabulous. The flight attendants love their jobs and are apparently the most high paid in the industry. Who knew? Anyway, off we went. First stop: Margaritas (by the pitcher) @Border Grill. We ate some amazing food! Aureole (not to be confused with a nipple).

Kate's Travels
Tuesday, June 16, 2015. For week two we drove across the centre of Grande Terre, through small villages and along windy roads back to Point- à. Pitre which is at the end of Grande Terre, from there the bridge which links the two islands takes you across mangrove swamp to Basse Terre. The difference in the geography was immediately obvious; the vegetation was much lusher and after turning right across much more hilly! Route de la travers é. View from Route de la Traversee. After hearing the news that my hike on the Continental Divide Trail was over for the summer, I jumped on a plane to Australia and surprised my parents by arriving at their house unannounced. They were pretty shocked because I’d talked to them about 30 hours earlier from New Mexico and had told them I was headed back home to Salt Lake City. Ha! Kate on thin ice. Travel and days out. What’s your story? March 28, 2018. Men swear by River Island for jeans. We are definitely a male-dominated household with two sons aged 12 and 17 and my husband plus 2 male dogs. We had to get a female kitten to redress the balance a bit recently. I digress from the point of this post which is to describe the various clothing choices of the male members of my family. Than a new suit. This is a huge change for him! You may also enjoy:. Kate On Tour
Saturday, 6 August 2011. And the rest of us went a bit more basic: sausage and chips! Needless to say, it was duck sausage, and very tasty. Loads of people were wandering around, and the music kicked off with a man who was 90 (in the shade) doing French renditions of famous songs, and occasional trumpet solos. I set off for Gaillac with a heavy heart and a minging hangover, fueled by pain aux raisins, coffee, and a desire not to bugger up the tarte au citron in the passenger footwell. 3 hours of ridi...
