My Adventures In Brewing: "Session Beer" - the Toasted Lager review
http://myadventuresinbrewing.blogspot.com/2009/08/session-beer-toasted-lager-review.html
My Adventures In Brewing. Exhaustive descriptions of my homebrewing experiences and all my personal thoughts on brewing. Saturday, August 1, 2009. Session Beer" - the Toasted Lager review. Here I sit, having just got home from a barbeque with my friends (during which many blah-tasting commercial beers were imbibed by all those present) just staring at the kegorator, thinking - why not just have one glass? And so I went ahead and poured the first sampling - aaaah, what a wise decision. I've always wondere...

You can remove the towel every day and re-wet it, or you can just spray it down every so often - that's what I do:. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Mead for a good friend.

My Adventures In Brewing. Exhaustive descriptions of my homebrewing experiences and all my personal thoughts on brewing. Thursday, July 30, 2009. During the peak of activity, a fermenting ale looks like someone is swishing it around with some kind of huge invisible spoon! And you can't help but think to yourself - hey, my yeast are having a damn good time, right? Think about it - the yeast organism does not have a huge amount of functions. Whenever someone asks me about yeast, I like to sum up their ...

My Adventures In Brewing. Exhaustive descriptions of my homebrewing experiences and all my personal thoughts on brewing. Monday, June 22, 2009. Malting Barley At Home. It may sound kind of crazy, but if you love hops, why not? I can definitely identify with "hop-heads" - I love the aroma and flavor of hops, and I love the unique taste each hop variety can bring to homebrew - whether it's spicy, floral, or otherwise. But the bottom line is that personally, I am much more in love with the flavor of. These ...

Adventures in Baking
Monday, November 1, 2010. My Adventures in Baking. Baking is My Passion. My interest in baking began in my home economics class in junior high school. I’m sure that sewing, cleaning, and cooking were part of the curriculum, but baking is what I remember. My favorite memory from that class is baking Buttons and Bowknots. The recipe we used was found in Betty Crocker’s Cookbook. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). My Adventures in Baking. View my complete profile. Ethereal theme. Powered by Blogger.

My Adventures in Beekeeping | On bees, queens, and stings!
My Adventures in Beekeeping. On bees, queens, and stings! New Additions to the Apiary! August 14, 2015. August 14, 2015. On one of the many beekeeping forums I’m a part of on facebook, I happened to stumble across a post from a woman who was having to sell off all of her beekeeping supplies and two hives due to a severe allergy she had developed. She and I touched base and almost exactly 24 hours later, my husband and I were on a two hour road trip to collect our new hives! In addition to the time of day...

My Adventures In Brewing
My Adventures In Brewing. Exhaustive descriptions of my homebrewing experiences and all my personal thoughts on brewing. Thursday, August 27, 2009. It's now been about a week since my latest "brew two". The pilsner, being a lager and fermenting at colder temperatures in my fridge, is just chugging along at its usual pace, totally normal and happy. I put the towel back over my face and unabashedly drew in a deep breath. Wow - better than Febreeze! The whole experience was quite a surprise, and now I'm won...

¡Estoy en Buenos Aires!
161;Estoy en Buenos Aires! I'm in Argentina for the semester! Friday, November 28, 2008. Anyone that claims that the world is overpopulated has never been to Patagonia. The region that occupies the Southern half of Argentina is bordered on the east by the Atlantic Ocean, and on the west by the Andes mountains, but in between is a vast expanse of nothingness. Our journey, though, took advantage of the southwestern part of Patagonia. The whole two days of hiking were just an incredible experience. On t...

AM's Adventures in Cooking
Monday, April 25, 2011. A friend of ours in Texas made this cake and I loved it so much I had to get the recipe. I made it for Easter this year. First you mix together 16 oz of sour cream, 16 oz of coconut, and two cups of powdered sugar. Let this mixture sit in the fridge together for 24 hours. (This is where the patience part comes in). The next day make a white cake mix and bake in two round pans. (The recipe recommends Duncan Hines). Cover with the top of the cake. Printable recipe found here. We lik...
