Ordinary Abroad | A Year in Guatemala
A Year in Guatemala. Traveller’s Tips: Driving the Ring Road in Iceland. I made a trip around Iceland’s Ring Road this August 2014. If you don’t mind diving, it’s a great way to spend a week or two. I had 8 full days in Iceland, which was just enough. Two more days would have been ideal. Some of the remote Islands and the West Fjords would have been possible with 2 full weeks. In Baer, near Reykholt. Sunset (about 10 pm) at a Farm House (Guesthouse Milli Vina). So a few bits of advice. Go the Blue Lagoon...

Ordinary Abundance
Tuesday, January 21, 2014. Loving Life at One Year. On Monday January 6th, we sang "Happy Birthday" to our effervescent little guy. The year has flown by as we've adjusted from a family of three to a family of four and we've watched Caleb grow into a little toddler while Ben grew into his role as a big brother. His official one year appointment is on the 28th, but he was sick in December so this what we have:). Height: 29.5 inches. Teeth: 3 on his first birthday but three more are peeking through. While ...

Build knowledge and awareness – find what is within reach – take action. What is ordinary activism? This Is Worth Contemplating. In light of the myopic, slightly depressing speeches given by government officials on the topic of bitcoin in senate hearings, the attached image provides something really worth contemplating. It comes from: http:/ www.thebitcoinchannel.com/archives/25090. Important Day In Bitcoin History. We’ll see how it all pans out. Published on November 19, 2013 at 01:02 GMT. If business i...

I have ordinary addictions.
I have ordinary addictions. On taking important steps. June 4, 2012 by glamtart. Well, I certainly didn’t mean to leave the blog dormant for so long, but I swear I have a good excuse. I have signed up for the Writers’ League of Texas. But I’m most excited about my 10-minute pitch to an agent. Like, face-to-face. Me telling the agent about my book. It’s been a rough couple of months. I’ve spent a lot of time in front of the laptopMy friends Rozie and Kristen and I have formed a small writi...This was a ha...

Ordinary Adventure 2006
Thursday, July 5, 2007. Davenport Gap to Clingmans Dome (Smokies) - End of 2007 Hike. What a difference a couple days can make. Just days ago we were planning on pushing ourselves to get to Springer on a particular day, still over 200 miles away. At this point, we've left the trail for the season. The knee pain that Anna developed on our fast hike after the picnic on Max Patch seems to have come back with a vengeance. . We slowly made it another mile or so to the shelter just below Clingman's Dome and...

Ordinary Adventure 2009
Wednesday, July 15, 2009. Just wanted to fill everyone in on what happened out on the trail that made us cut our trip short. On Saturday afternoon, she sneezed hard and a wave of pain hit her which she delt with the rest of the day and soreness into Sunday morning. After eating a big lunch on Sunday and having drank quite a bit of water she got up from lunch and the pain was overwhelming. The silver lining to the whole ordeal was being able to spend an evening in Truckee with Michelle, a really nice sect...

Thursday, February 12, 2009. Jacob the Barbarian, Page 4. Choose a Story Arc -. I'm not as happy about this page as my last one. I wanted to do something different with the fourth panel, but I didn't block it out correctly and ended up epic failing. Plus, the lack of ears is really, really obvious. I think I'm going to have to start drawing ears. Hey! That's Anita there in the bottom panel! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
