A continuation of my walking and photographs, see list for past records. Friday, 24 January 2014. Paddling in Padley Gorge. After what seemed like forever, we managed to get out on a ‘proper’ walk. Although the forecast wasn’t that good, we set off anyway. As we’d had lots of rain, we thought Padley gorge would be nice, for pictures, and for a wintery walk. This is the famous Grindleford station, home of the even more famous steaming pint mugs of tea and HUGE bacon. Now and then, maybe a wooden bridge.

A continuation of my walking and photographs, see list for past records. Tuesday, 11 February 2014. Snowy Derbyshire today, and the sink hole at Foolow. A light shower of snow made the countryside really beautiful today. The day started awfully, rain, wind, cold, but what a difference a few hours makes! The ridge above Monsal dale. Looking north towards Kinder Scout. On Eyam edge, looking for the 'hole'. Looking along Eyam edge towards the Barrel inn. Looking south towards Bakewell. I LOVE this car :-).

A continuation of my walking and photographs, see list for past records. Thursday, 26 September 2013. I want me MAM! Although very hazy, we decided to do the Castleton skyline today. A familiar favourite, but one we never tire of doing. We parked by the famous Blue John mine entrance. An innocuous enough looking niche, but the entrance to one of ONLY TWO places on earth that has the stone known as Blue John, the other is the nearby Treak Cliff cavern. Some of the damage just HAS to be seen to be believed!
