The Chronicles of Nan-ia: The Battlefield of Love
http://emilysinasia.blogspot.com/2011/02/battlefield-of-love.html
The Chronicles of Nan-ia. Wednesday, February 16, 2011. The Battlefield of Love. Monday was a celebration of two things Bandon Sriserm loves: Valentine's Day and the annual English Exhibition! I wasn't sure if Valentine's Day would be a celebrated holiday in Thailand, but upon further pondering, I realized it's actually the perfect Thai holiday: expressing your feelings inadvertently, the color pink, larger-than-life stuffed animals, and a solid excuse for glitter/sequins/ribbons/balloons/bows in excess.

http://emilysinasia.blogspot.com/2011/02/bear-gyrlls-bicycle-club.html
The Chronicles of Nan-ia. Friday, February 25, 2011. The Bear Grylls Bicycle Club. Let me begin by saying: My face is on a billboard. As if you couldn't pick us out of a crowd before. The scariest thing that happend that night, by far, was the QUOTE-UNQUOTE "food" I actually ate. Ray Bans matched my bike! Thursday night marked the beginning of a long weekend. We found out early last week that we didn't have classes on that Friday. If I had known this information before three days prior to the lon...Doi P...

The Chronicles of Nan-ia: December 2010
http://emilysinasia.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
The Chronicles of Nan-ia. Thursday, December 23, 2010. My Gift to YOU. When I was in high school I volunteered every winter to be an elf in the Christmas parade. I would sit in Santa's sleigh in green tights and throw candy canes at strollers. This was the perfect way to kick off the holiday season- even when the new Santa Claus showed me his prosthetic leg. I did my best to spread Christmas cheer throughout Bedford and now I'm hoping to send some halfway across the world. CLICK HERE: MERRY CHRISTMAS!

"A Whole New World": October 2011
http://rachel-whole-new-world.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
A Whole New World". Confessions of a Texan in Singapore. Wednesday, 19 October 2011. I think I've talked to a few of you about Singlish - it's the English-based creole language widely spoken among the locals over here. The most obvious example is their use of "lah" at the end of sentences. Apparently it can be used both to soften the force of the sentence or to signal power - depending on how it is stressed. Examples:. Person A: "Can you send me that report by this afternoon? Person B: "Can can! Anyway, ...

The Chronicles of Nan-ia. Thursday, July 29, 2010. Polar or Panda; Blonde or Brunette? Kelsey and I jumping ship to. Snorkel in the cyan waters! Our plan that day/night was to book an overnight camping trip to Maya Beach. This is the same location as the Leo DiCaprio film, The Beach. Where all young people and far...

The Chronicles of Nan-ia. Monday, August 30, 2010. Dick, NingNing, Yellow, and Pie. For the past three months, my Saturday nights have consisted of thinking about drinking a beer then eating too much and falling asleep spooning an open copy of Moby Dick. Last Saturday night, however, I shook the non-Nan-nightlife and CLUBBED IT UPPPPPPPPP. IVE BEEN MISSING THIS. At roughly 9:30 pm, the funk was about to begin. And sure enough, loud and proud, she responded, "DICK.". Pointing to the pineapple. Dancing ens...
