Pitlochry Station Bookshop grew from a small idea into a thriving supporter of charities in a surprisingly short time. In 2005 local Councillor, the late Eleanor Howie, published a letter in NewsRound North asking if anyone had ideas for the regeneration of unused buildings on the station as part of ScotRail’s Adopt a Station scheme. BBC Films at Bookshop. The Bookshop has taken its first step as a film location with the recent visit from a camera crew filming a programme to be shown, initially, on BBC4. Him being a great vet had made some name already in the dog world. The clinic Dierencentrum ‘t Wachthuys is famous for its AI techniques and solving breeding problems. Selling Donated Books in Aid of Charities. The bookshop is open Monday to Saturday from 9.00am to 4.30pm on Platform 1 at Pitlochry railway station. People donate all kinds of books and we sell them on at low prices. Most books sell at 1 each. All the money raised is donated to our six charities. Tea, coffee or hot chocolate is on sale at 1.50 per cup. The shop is run entirely by volunteers. No one is paid. ScotRail generously gives our premises free. Book donations are always needed.
