Snow is precipitation in the form of crystalline water ice, consisting of a multitude of snowflakes. Since it is composed of small rough particles it is a granular material. It has an open and therefore soft structure, unless packed by external pressure. Snow is commonly formed when water vapor undergoes deposition high in the atmosphere at a temperature of less than 0 C (32 F), and then falls to the ground. Miles Bate Ski Trip. On this trip I covered a total of 3304 miles (5317 kilometres) at an average speed of 34 mph (55 kph) and it took me a total of 100 hours and 7 minutes of driving.
