Thoughts on my travels…. Trip 1 – UK 2011. Trip 2 – Europe 2011/12. Trip 3 UK 2012. After my brief stay inland at York I was now back on the coast at Sutton-on-Sea. Which is on the Lincolnshire coast about 2 miles south of Mablethorpe. And 15 miles north of Skegness. Thoughts on my travels…. Trip 1 – UK 2011. Trip 2 – Europe 2011/12. Trip 3 UK 2012. So, after 155 days and 28 campsites my third trip is over. On this trip I covered a total of 3304 miles (5317 kilometres) at an average speed of 34 mph (55 kph) and it took me a total of 100 hours and 7 minutes of driving. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. On my UK trip last year I’d visited Oxford so it only seemed fair to visit that other great university city of Cambridge. And this is the final stop on my 2012 UK trip. Well I’ve reached Wells-next-the-Sea on the north Norfolk coast (it isn’t actually next-the-Sea as the sea is about a mile away but apparently it used to be next-the-Sea many years ago and no-one thought it was sensible to change the name when the sea moved). This is as far north as I’ll be going on this trip. Going to try and get some photos tomorrow but snow is forecast so will have to see how it goes.
