So true →. October 23, 2014. A vintage vinyl shop, a mysterious death, an even more mysterious girl, a pig snout, a dysfunctional family and a teenage girl figuring out life all make up. Skylark Martin leads a quiet, mundane life in a sleepy Australian town. Ever since her mother walked out on. Is the story of a fractured family, fractured friendships and imperfect people. It’s also the story of a teenage girl figuring herself out. All of the above notwithstanding, the great part about. The story is litt...

http://magiccasements.blogspot.com/2013/03/great-books-and-disagreeable-thoughts.html

I'm hoping to finish it tonight and then jump straight into Kate Constable's latest novel, New Guinea Moon. You can't force boys to read books about girls when th...

Have you got your Vplates? - Writing in the margins
http://julialawrinson.livejournal.com/18899.html
Writing in the margins. Have you got your Vplates? January 31st, 2010. When I read this. By Alexandra Adornetto, I wasn't sure whether to laugh, cry, or wonder whether I'd woken up in 1950. Why the focus on what young women are or aren't doing? Where is the discussion of young men's behaviour - which to me would seem the more worrying?
