it's all good: Kite Foil ~ knifing through the water at great speeds
http://kooshoo.blogspot.com/2015/08/kite-foil-knifing-through-water-at.html
Observations on things that always make me smile and living life slightly 'out there'. Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Kite Foil knifing through the water at great speeds. The first time I witnesssed a kite foil. Taken as he crossed the finish line first in the first race of the day. The sound the foil makes at certain speeds at the mast as it slices through the water is a high wine as well as the constant knifelike "shhhhhhhhhhhhh" sound. Of drone footage video of the action last weekend. Monkeys on the roof.

Two-Lane Blacktop: July 2011
http://twolaneblacktop.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Old highways and towns keep me on the back roads. Sunday, July 10, 2011. I rode with my friend Steve from Scooter In the Sticks. This weekend. We put on a few miles. Steve rides a Vespa most days, but today he had a Triumph Scrambler. On loan from Kissel Motor Sports. When I was looking for that first bike four years ago, the Scrambler topped my list. It's simple design embodied what I was looking for in a motorcycle. It still does. But that classic boxer engine of the old BMWs won out. Links to this post.

And back home to Fredericksburg. Day 3-6 We...

OFFTHEMAPeurope: March 2011
http://offthemapeurope.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 26, 2011. Times are hard. This isn't new information. The weekend I returned from my scooter tour last summer, our firefighters were camped in several intersections, raising money for their local charity. As I was stopped at the light, I scrambled for a couple dollars and opened my window. I asked him, "How is it going? The firefighter paused and then said, "You want the truth, don't you? I do, actually.". Reconstruction: First a Body, Then a Life. Links to this post. St Louis Scooter Club.
