Moving Down Under

This is our Blog, the highs and hopefully not too many lows of our journey and experiences of moving from England to Australia. Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Following our camp last year at our friends ray and Kylie's Dad farm, we were invited to go again this year. We were a little more prepared than last year, as last year we had begged and borrowed the majority of our camping equipment. We loaded up the trailer and set off for the farm with a little "pewee 50" motorbike on the front. We went for a two hour...

Moving Down Under: March 2009

http://somersdownunder.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

This is our Blog, the highs and hopefully not too many lows of our journey and experiences of moving from England to Australia. Sunday, March 1, 2009. To validate our shiny new Visa we had to set foot in Oz within one year of the medicals, so we decided to make another holiday/ reccie. Trip for two weeks April 2009. A few weeks before we were going, I managed to crash the car on the way to my Mom's house! We were towed back home and the car was in a very sorry state! After about 6 weeks, we had it back.

This is our Blog, the highs and hopefully not too many lows of our journey and experiences of moving from England to Australia. Wednesday, March 24, 2010. I find it so amazing here. I know the UK has lots to offer, for example some fantastic scenery and beautiful historical buildings but I have been in England for over fourty years. Australia is new to me and I want to see and do things that I haven't experienced before. I then had the wonderful task of obtaining my skippers licence. Visitors to the blog.

We took a holidayb at Darlington Beach. It is a Big 4 campsite located at Arrawarra, just North of Coffs Harbour. The area is lovely, sandy beaches and wonderful headlands. Woogoolga is just a few kilometers away and both Arrawarra and Woolgoolga are great surf regions. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Visitors to the blog.

This is our Blog, the highs and hopefully not too many lows of our journey and experiences of moving from England to Australia. Friday, July 3, 2009. The start of our new life in Port Macquarie. We had booked a cabin on a site in Port Macquarie for 2 weeks. It was a 1 bedroomed 4 birth shoebox! But it suited us for what we needed! The 4x4 we bought had a small problem that Nige found out to our peril! Although the dashboard light stated it was in low range 4 wheel drive, it wasn't! The guys at Nigel's wo...
