Stories From the Storey's: August 2008

http://www.storiesfromthestoreys.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Stories From the Storey's. Tuesday, August 26, 2008. First, last Wednesday we interviewed the Lone Star Midwives ( LSMW. You can see their website at http:/ lonestarmidwives.com/. We decided that we want to use them as our primary care giver for the rest of the pregnancy. The women are so amazing! They are also partnered with 6 doctors who are in the same office should we need that level of medical attention. We will also be seeing a neonatologist. We had our last appointment with Dr. Aaredondo. The baby...

Stories From the Storey's. Sunday, October 19, 2008. Since we last posted baby Storey has traveled to Portland and, through mom, played in the snow! In other news we had another doctor appointment last Friday. We were at at16 weeks and 4 days. The baby is now 5 ounces (about the weight of a bar of soap) and is settling in nicely. Baby is laying on his/her tummy and you can see the head, spine, tummy, and both feet from left to right. That is it for now. In late November we will be going for our first...

Stories From the Storey's: April 2009

http://www.storiesfromthestoreys.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Stories From the Storey's. Monday, April 6, 2009. So we have officially had our first set of family pictures done! I feel truly initiated. As a parent now since an otherwise perfectly content, happy, sleeping Cason. Decided to initiate a countdown to meltdown the very second we stepped in front of the camera! We had to weed out a large number of the photos because he was either crying, about to cry or making a face like he was "doing business. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Storey Blog: March 2011

http://thestoreyfamilyblog.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Sunday, March 13, 2011. So I got a little snap-happy with the camera, here's your weekly photo overload. Ellie getting a little t-ball (or "golf" as she would rather call it) lesson from dad. She STILL won't let me take pictures of her! Anyone with any ideas on how to get her out of this phase? This little guy is a non-stop grinner. Post-meal, happy and fed. Looking SO much like dad, don't you think? He could spend the day on the floor just rolling from one end of the blanket to the other.

http://thestoreyfamilyblog.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Sunday, May 1, 2011. Long time, no blog. What a wild few months it has been. Somewhere in all that whirlwind there was Spring Break, a quick trip to Miles, a birthday party, a wedding shower, Ellie's field trip to the exotic zoo in Johnson City, a visit from Grammy and Daddo, Easter, and Ellie's Spring Fling recital. It's been crazy, but good.can't ask for more than that! Here's the month in photos. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Building Our Life From Scratch. Knits and what knot. Our simple little life.

Storey Blog: June 2011

http://thestoreyfamilyblog.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Wednesday, June 29, 2011. A few weeks ago, Ellie made her first trip down the aisle as a flower girl for my cousin Allison's wedding. It was a beautiful day, and I'm so proud of Ellie and Jace (the ringbearer).I can't believe how great they did. Leading up to the big day wasn't quite as easy, though! So, Bernie gave me the wedding penguin and we put him in Ellie's basket. The other helpful factor was Jace - he is adorable! Ellie and Jace discussing the wedding penguin. Thursday, June 23, 2011. Wednesday, December 4, 2013. Don't Go Down There! Recently, I was in a production with Marketplace Players in Winnipeg. The show was called Don't Go Down There. And featured the majority of our 2013 Winnipeg Fringe Festival cast reunited, along with Betty, whom we've all had the distinct pleasure of acting with before. But this gave me an idea that many, many actors get: What can you put on that paper to see if Sam can not break (lose concentration) on stage? The possibilities were plenty. I really wasn'...

Stories From The Stoop -

The Story Of A Big Family. Growing Up In The Big City. In the 1950s and 1960s, in Brooklyn, most homes contained a special place that is now pretty much extinct: the stoop, the steps that were the entranceway to the two-family and four-family homes that comprised that neighborhood. But it was so much more. What People Are Saying. These stories brought me back to a place I have always loved and longed to go back to. All I can say is BRAVO! I laughed, I cried, I couldn’t put it down. I Can See Clearly Now.

Saturday, May 10, 2008. A Beautiful Ode to Mothers. Here is a fantastic song. It is one I refer to often to be certain I am covering all the bases of motherhood! How sad it would be if later in life one of the girls came home in tears, "but Mom, I thought we did live in a barn! Or even worse, the boys thought they should jump off the cliff with their friends. Homeless people attending Feed the Burg. I am hoping we are able to rattle the powers that be enough to end this new rule because of the hardship it creates.
