Deborah Robinson: July 2010

http://deborah-robinson.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

This is my current up to date photographic journey. Wednesday, 28 July 2010. Figures that are anonymous. A time and place to observe the range of people, the jobs and activities they undertake. A chance to watch the anonymous, ordinary figure going about their normal lives. In Morocco, there are always people going about their business, even if that business is simply sitting. England seems empty by comparision. Observations in light and time. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Stories from the Street. Stories from the Street. Identity and cards for a new business whose business is telling the untold stories of everyday folk. Extraordinary stories from ordinary people. They were keen to keep the personal touch, so we letterpressed/blind embossed the business cards on really touch-friendly 700gsm stock. Stories from the Street website. Currently under construction by our friends at madewithpixels.

Deborah Robinson: August 2010

http://deborah-robinson.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

This is my current up to date photographic journey. Monday, 30 August 2010. Returned to a location I had previously taken images for assignment, interested to see how the seasons had change the enviroment and the light. The early evening was over cast with very high cloud giving wonderful diffuse light. I wanted to see if I could extend my learning and work with a client to show the relationship between mother and daughter. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Deborah Robinson: October 2010

http://deborah-robinson.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

This is my current up to date photographic journey. Sunday, 3 October 2010. The Client was celebrating their 40th birthday at Salmlesbury Hall near Preston. At the last part of the evening was dancing, which was a challenge to capture with the low light levels. Once the guests had arrived and opportunity took place for more formal group shots, with the architecture of the building as the back drop. I used some tudor portraits from the portrait gallery as inspiration for these images.

Stories From The Stoop -

The Story Of A Big Family. Growing Up In The Big City. In the 1950s and 1960s, in Brooklyn, most homes contained a special place that is now pretty much extinct: the stoop, the steps that were the entranceway to the two-family and four-family homes that comprised that neighborhood. But it was so much more. What People Are Saying. These stories brought me back to a place I have always loved and longed to go back to. All I can say is BRAVO! I laughed, I cried, I couldn’t put it down. I Can See Clearly Now.

Stories from the Stouts

Saturday, May 10, 2008. A Beautiful Ode to Mothers. Here is a fantastic song. It is one I refer to often to be certain I am covering all the bases of motherhood! How sad it would be if later in life one of the girls came home in tears, "but Mom, I thought we did live in a barn! Or even worse, the boys thought they should jump off the cliff with their friends. Happy Mothers Day! One more fun mothers day laugh. Just in case we thought today should be a serious day. Why don't you hitch-hike?

Stories From The Stove

Stories From The Stove. Posted by Sophie James. Asymp; 25 Comments. I started with soft fruits. My first blog post back in the UK was on red gooseberries. Lovely in their brown paper bag from the greengrocer in Seaford (in East Sussex), the man with the curly hair and always a kind word. He is also the butcher. Joe approached him as he was carrying a palette of unskinned rabbits. Are they wild? He asked. ‘Wild? 8217; he replied. ‘They were. People have died. People die! Trip to Suffolk, 1974. Stories From the Street

Stories From the Street. What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us." Ralph Waldo Emerson. Saturday, September 27, 2014. A Day In The Life . . . Homeless people attending Feed the Burg. I am hoping we are able to rattle the powers that be enough to end this new rule because of the hardship it creates. Next, another homeless person in her 60s, walked up and asked for my help. She was camping recently at the river across from the county fair grounds, o...
