Stories from the Stouts

Saturday, May 10, 2008. A Beautiful Ode to Mothers. Here is a fantastic song. It is one I refer to often to be certain I am covering all the bases of motherhood! How sad it would be if later in life one of the girls came home in tears, "but Mom, I thought we did live in a barn! Or even worse, the boys thought they should jump off the cliff with their friends. Happy Mothers Day! One more fun mothers day laugh. Just in case we thought today should be a serious day. Why don't you hitch-hike?

My klutzy happenings, exciting travels and random thoughts. I want this. Yes I just said that. I am not saying that I would wear it out, ever. But to wear around the house all the time. I think it would be quite nice. The downside 179. That number my friends is how much this comfy, lovable onepiece. Is That is right one hundred and seventy nine dollars folks. I definitely don't want this THAT much. I guess for now my lame two piece PJ's will have to do. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Ian and Amy Jack's Family Blog: November 2010

http://thejacksblog.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, November 7, 2010. Bear Lake in Black and White. We went to Bear Lake with Grandma Laurie, Bryson and Kristy's family and Anson and Jennifer's family the first weekend in August. We had so much fun! I took so many pictures. It was hard to narrow it down, but here are a few of my favorites. I love this first picture because it is so typical of a couple of things: Shaylor pretending to destroy something, and Ashlyn (in the background) being my right-hand girl. The girls (most of them).

Ian and Amy Jack's Family Blog: June 2009

http://thejacksblog.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html

Friday, June 19, 2009. Our baby is two today. Words cannot describe how precious this girl is to us. Sometimes 'Googly-bear,' sometimes 'Gracie-goober', always 'Muffin.'. We had such a great day! I'll let the pictures tell most of the story. First Present. This is from Noelle who couldn't wait to get the festivities started! Jack's Playground. We lasted all of 10 minutes. Gracie was forced onto these inflatables long enough for me to get picture before she ran for her life off of them. Shaylor. Happy Bir...

Saturday, December 19, 2009. Oh, Sweetie, Don't Cry. I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday. I know I promised every day, but I'll be back on Monday. Busy, busy, busy! PS The picture was taken when Ian had left for work. Shaylor was sad about it. Breaks your heart, don't it? Thursday, December 17, 2009. She has been waiting for many years for her Baptism Day. She has always sought to do what is right and has been so excited to fulfill this commandment. She skipped down to the baptism font - so typical of her!

My klutzy happenings, exciting travels and random thoughts. 30 Day Song Challenge: Day 18. A song you wished you heard on the radio. I don't think I hear this song on the radio (like I said I listen to oldies and classical when the radio is on) but I love it. I would love to hear it on the radio; and after watching this performance I am REALLY excited to see them this summer at the twilight concert series. They look like total hippies. AWESOME. My klutzy happenings, exciting travels and random thoughts. My life after school: the job. I am a working lady now Which is why this little blog has sadly been on a dry spell. Let's be honest, it is not the first and most likely not the last. But for the moment I am back! Did you miss me? Check out this little number. It still makes me laugh every time I listen to it! As part of my "grown up" life I save the earth and ride trax (and read! So what am I doing? Also, in case you haven't heard, It is summer.

My klutzy happenings, exciting travels and random thoughts. A piece of my childhood ended today with the last Harry Potter movie. Oh what a night it was. I think everyone wanted to go all out and celebrate the greatness of Harry Potter! The movie was amazing! I laughed, I cried, and I enjoyed every second of it! Dylan was Dumbledore but he had to run off before we could really get any pictures. Derek saved some smoke bombs so we could take cool pictures. They are bloody brilliant! Plus it always renews m...

Stories From The Stage

Wednesday, December 4, 2013. Don't Go Down There! Recently, I was in a production with Marketplace Players in Winnipeg. The show was called Don't Go Down There. And featured the majority of our 2013 Winnipeg Fringe Festival cast reunited, along with Betty, whom we've all had the distinct pleasure of acting with before. But this gave me an idea that many, many actors get: What can you put on that paper to see if Sam can not break (lose concentration) on stage? The possibilities were plenty. I really wasn'...

Stories From The Stoop -

The Story Of A Big Family. Growing Up In The Big City. In the 1950s and 1960s, in Brooklyn, most homes contained a special place that is now pretty much extinct: the stoop, the steps that were the entranceway to the two-family and four-family homes that comprised that neighborhood. But it was so much more. What People Are Saying. These stories brought me back to a place I have always loved and longed to go back to. All I can say is BRAVO! I laughed, I cried, I couldn’t put it down. I Can See Clearly Now.

Stories From the Street. What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us." Ralph Waldo Emerson. Saturday, September 27, 2014. A Day In The Life . . . Homeless people attending Feed the Burg. I am hoping we are able to rattle the powers that be enough to end this new rule because of the hardship it creates. Next, another homeless person in her 60s, walked up and asked for my help. She was camping recently at the river across from the county fair grounds, o...
