Teacher In Training 2017

Teacher In Training 2017. Thursday, July 7, 2016. The Conclusion of ENGL 3043. When registering for this course, I was unsure of what to expect. Of course it is a degree requirement, but I was eager to see what it contained. From the beginning, I know time management was a crucial aspect of online courses. Once it was explained that it was a self-paced course, this became especially true. The tool exploration was my favorite part of this course. Via commos.wikimedia.org. Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Teacher In Training 2017. Saturday, June 18, 2016. Put Reading First is a series of informational packets composed by the National Institute for Literacy. It is designed for teachers and parents alike to know the necessary, foundational skills for literacy in the early years. The report discusses five main areas of concentration: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and text comprehension. Before children are able to read written words, they must understand the concept of how sounds work.

Teacher In Training 2017: Student Planning

http://teacherintraining2017.blogspot.com/2016/07/student-planning.html

Teacher In Training 2017. Tuesday, July 5, 2016. The start of a new semester comes with a variety of emotions. Aside from being one semester closer to graduation, I always look forward to purchasing and organizing my school supplies for the new semesters. Creating a colorful and exciting study environment for myself has become apart of my necessities in terms of study motivation. I begin by assigning each course a color. The covers of each notebook are decorated according to that courses content.

http://teacherintraining2017.blogspot.com/2016/07/friday-night-lights.html

Teacher In Training 2017. Wednesday, July 6, 2016. The Friday Night Lights have become a staple in Texas culture. Weekly football games filled with parents, fans, athletes, high school bands, cheerleaders, and drill teams! Via common.wikimedia.org. In retrospect, drill team was an irreplaceable aspect of my high school experience. Looking forward to performing every Friday night provided me the motivation to push myself academically. In reality I have to consider the facts. July 11, 2016 at 8:56 PM.

Teacher In Training 2017: Classroom Tool Exploration

http://teacherintraining2017.blogspot.com/2016/07/classroom-tool-exploration.html

Teacher In Training 2017. Tuesday, July 5, 2016. Throughout English 3043, we’ve been asked to consider four of several online tools. These tools can all be used in the classroom in some form or fashion. I chose the programs, Kahoot, VoiceThread, Canva, and Powtoon. Kahoot was the only program I was previously familiar with. Through www.kahoot.com. Anyone can create a survey or quiz. I was excited to discover the versatility of this program. VoiceThread was a new program to me! Views can do the same.

Education and Web 2.0. Former Blog Hub for ENGL3043: Professional Writing for E-Media. Sunset 2016. AP Exams without AP Classes. There’s a lot of talk about Advanced Placement (AP) exams lately, given concerns over the AP U.S. History exam in Oklahoma. And, here in Texas, the push for more students to take AP classes and the associated exams. Recently, I was discussing this topic with some friends in reaction to the article “What Happens When a 38-Year-Old Man Takes an AP History Test? And prayed it was ...

Overall, I think that the results that the end user sees would be far more visually impressive than a G...

April 24, 2014. Blogging with First Graders. After quickly showing the first graders in my class how to make a post to our brand new science blog, I was a little concerned with how this little experiment of mine would go. Even with the simplest of platforms that I could find, there are so many steps and I could see their faces filled with confusion and concern while I showed them how it would work. The students are catching on quick, and the process is going really smoothly! More to come…. March 13, 2014.

Teacher In Transit | Teaching, Travelling, Living Abroad

Teaching, Travelling, Living Abroad. September 4, 2016. We woke up early for a complementary breakfast before getting in the van and heading towards Dubrovnik. Our host was absolutely great. He drove us to an old underground hanger that was several kilometers long. He was one of only a few stationed there during the war and he drove us in the pitch black through the tunnel. The first thing we did was head out to do a walk around the city walls at sunset. It’s hard to describe just how impressive it i...

February 25, 2011 · 7:59 pm. Where Do I Go From Here? I don’t know when I became the enemy. But it isn’t about education; it’s about money. States need to cut funds and teacher make easy targets becasue the rhetoric politicians use is so easy to buy into. Tell me one teacher you respect that doesn’t want what’s best for students? One teacher that thinks believes teacher’s needs trump student needs? We believe in everything they are saying…but. What they are saying isn’t what they are doing. Shoot…r...

An American Teacher in the United Arab Emirates

An American Teacher in the United Arab Emirates. This blog covers my adventure moving to the other side of the world- the United Arab Emirates. Friday, October 19, 2012. Ok, I have had a rough past couple of weeks. In the beginning, I had some pretty bad abdominal pains and I visited the emergency room of the Shiekh Khalifa Medical City Hospital. Since my husband has not gotten his driver's licence yet, we called an ambulance. That was a fiasco! Now before this moment, I was thinking coming to the U....
