The Growing Hortons: My (not so) Little Brother

http://thegrowinghortons.blogspot.com/2010/12/my-not-so-little-brother.html

Tuesday, December 21, 2010. My (not so) Little Brother. Recently my little brother asked his girlfriend Hilary to marry him! We are very excited. We love Hilary and we are thrilled that she will “officially” be a part of our family. But really it’s hard to believe that my little brother is engaged! It seems like only yesterday when I was making him play with Barbie’s ,. My younger brother Cory is 4 years younger than I am and 7 years younger than my older brother, Derek. I always think of Cory when I hea...

The Growing Hortons: Teamwork

http://thegrowinghortons.blogspot.com/2011/03/teamwork.html

Wednesday, March 9, 2011. I have been on quite a few teams in my day, some pretty successful teams at that! But the very best team I have ever been a part of is the one that was formed on June 9, 2007. The husband and wife team! I am so thankful for being a part of this team. When Joseph and I work together things just work better! Just having the support of Joseph makes my life a million times easier! March 9, 2011 at 2:22 PM. How stinkin sweet and cute is that! Yall are a cute team too! Disciple of Jes...

The Growing Hortons: "Savor Every Moment"

http://thegrowinghortons.blogspot.com/2011/04/savor-every-moment.html

Monday, April 25, 2011. 8220;Savor every moment.”. I cannot even begin to count the number of times I have heard this phrase since my baby was born! In the beginning I thought it was just something older folks were supposed to say to new parents. Recently, however, friends of ours had a baby and I was amazed at just how “grown up” Elise seemed beside the 8 day old! She is only 8 and ½ months old but she seemed so big compared to the tiny newborn. It simply made me want to “savor every moment”. Disciple o...

The Harrises

Thursday, May 30, 2013. And James is here, too! The advent of the iPad in our lives has meant that the grandparents get videos and emails occasionally and was nearly the death of the blog! Parenting older children takes more energy and interruptions to sleep for the past year from pregnancy and a newborn have called for extra videos and book sessions on the couch to make it through the day! Well, I've written far too much here, resulting in birthday presents still unwrapped! Sweet James- he was so tiny!

The Harvey Family

Tuesday, April 28, 2015. April 28th, 2015. I am finally starting to learn how to shoot in manual. Really this is only my 3rd time, I have by no means perfected it but I have a pretty cute little guy to practice on! Today he fell asleep on my bed so I stretched the blanket out he was laying on and took some close ups of his sweet little hands and feet. I just love little baby hands and toes. The Growing Ivy Family

The Growing Ivy Family. Created to keep my family and friends informed and entertained, but maintained to keep my mind fresh and my memories safe. Sunday, August 24, 2014. I was watching my children. But what does that really mean? I know I’m not alone in becoming comfortable while watching them, relaxing into a false sense of security. Otherwise, how would we live? Our next Sunday School lesson.
