The Harrises

Thursday, May 30, 2013. And James is here, too! The advent of the iPad in our lives has meant that the grandparents get videos and emails occasionally and was nearly the death of the blog! Parenting older children takes more energy and interruptions to sleep for the past year from pregnancy and a newborn have called for extra videos and book sessions on the couch to make it through the day! Well, I've written far too much here, resulting in birthday presents still unwrapped! Sweet James- he was so tiny!

The Harrises: November 2012

http://thegrowingharrisfamily.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html

Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Young John is so eager to help around the house. He started emptying the small trashcans before he was two, learned to effectively use the cordless vacuum about that age, loads clothes into the washer and dryer (which he calls "my chipper job") and here lately has kept our recycling bin empty since he gets his shoes on and empties it into the rolling cart outside if anything is in it. I could use a dose of his eagerness! Children- a wonderfully bewildering adventure! We load...

Thursday, September 15, 2011. No one else will think this is amusing. But still, I'm going to share. That's the back of the hairdryer. Air is drawn in on that side and it gets heated up and comes out the other side.". It comes out and gets John's hairs hot.". I chuckle. "Yes, son. That's exactly what it does.". Gets John's hairs hot- he's a funny kid and he's understanding more and more about how things work. Called Elmo and Friends. Last week, he hands me the book and says, "Read Elbow and Friends.

Thursday, July 19, 2012. Here are some pictures from the past month. Not too much has been going on- it's too hot to have anything going on. I've tried to keep the girls inside as much as possible. Lexi is as crazy as ever! It's a good way to get some energy out! This poor girl. it was so hot! Friday, June 8, 2012.

Musings on Growing Physically…Emotionally…Spiritually. November 7, 2015. Several years ago, my side of the family gave up doing gift exchanges (except for the kiddos) and instead we each take a turn picking an organization and all donating to it. I love this…especially since buying gifts is stressful to me. This year it was our turn, and we chose Operation Christmas Child. I have been participating since I was in college and now am elated to be doing it with my kiddos. Peter chucking the balls everywhere.
