Friday, April 15, 2011. PCP is a Drug. My final post and pictures will be over the weekend but in the meantime I just had to share the experience I had this morning. 5am - woke up in Philadelphia.no alarm clock required. 5:30 - dressed.fired off a few emails.coffee in the room. 5:45 - packed, a few more emails, a text message to home.out the door, in the cab. 6:10 - at the Train Station, another coffee and a skinny wheat egg white sandwich - Au Bon Pain. 6:30 - on the train.more email. 8:20 - enter Starb...

The Peak Condition Project - Scott: Remember When...

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-scott.blogspot.com/2011/04/remember-when.html

Tuesday, April 12, 2011. We are near the end of our journey. Doesn't it seem like we just started? Or maybe instead it seems like a very long time ago. It certainly has been a long and winding road but one thing is certain - I got out of PCP exactly what I was asking for.an education in nutrition, my body and exercise. I'm sure we are all focused mostly on looking ahead.what will life be like post PCP? But what I have been thinking most about frankly is what life was like for me pre-PCP. One thing I don't.

The Peak Condition Project - Scott: Bad PCP Behavior...

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-scott.blogspot.com/2011/04/bad-pcp-behavior.html

Thursday, April 7, 2011. This I did not expect. 2 weeks ago I made a promise to myself to finish strong and run hard and fast to the finish line. Just the opposite is what's happened. That said I was surprised to wiegh in still down 26lbs.but I don't feel good at the end of the day. I will be working out in the morning and again on Saturday morning. Sunday might be difficult but I am moving a house full of furniture so perhaps that might substitutue in some kinda fashion. April 7, 2011 at 9:13 PM. The Pe...

The Peak Condition Project - Scott: Now the Training Begins...PCP to PMC!

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-scott.blogspot.com/2011/04/now-training-beginspcp-to-pmc.html

Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Now the Training Begins.PCP to PMC! I can't wait for Saturday. It will be my first outdoor ride of the season. I'll be meeting up with a dozen or so of my friends and we'll spin out 25 miles or so. Can't wait. Why? I am 29 lbs lighter! What is it going to feel like to ride being so much lighter? Http:/ www.pmc.org/. Here is a few of the crew. And here is why we ride. Jack" and my friend Steve. Jack is cancer-free. PCP PMC - gotta love it! April 14, 2011 at 3:40 AM. I am sure yo...

Friday, April 1, 2011. When I read Patrick's note earlier this week about our last and final indulgence my first thought was PIZZA and BEER.and man, was I thinking what a gorge I was going to have. I love pizza.and I do miss it a little. My previous 2 indulgences have been rather controlled.a little wine here, a little desert there.but this one.whoooo whooooo - P-I-Z-Z-A! Out Actually, I was scared out of my wits! Here is the PCP-ality about pizza. 1 / 12" diameter pizza with pepperoni.(567g). I felt a l...

Jan 31, 2011. Day 17 - Two new lessons. 1 I find pull ups REALLY tough. This will be a good personal challenge. 2 It seems that there is also a poledancing class at 2pm on a Monday. Happy days. 14/15/16 - An action packed weekend. It's amazing how much you can fit into a weekend when you put your mind to it! I've said all the way through that I'm determined that a healthy lifestyle won't turn me into a recluse, and this weekend I set out to prove it. This morning I woke up feeling great! Jan 28, 2011.

The Peak Condition Project - Andy F.: Not enough blogging, not enough sleeping, but plenty of exercise and plenty of results

http://thepeakconditionproject-andyf.blogspot.com/2011/04/not-enough-blogging-not-enough-sleeping.html

Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Not enough blogging, not enough sleeping, but plenty of exercise and plenty of results. Once again, though, a great feeling of accomplishment when I was finally through both 9 minute sets, and pushed for a few minutes more. After an evening snack of a banana smoothie (whoever had the original idea for smoothies in our group – I think it was Heather – THANK YOU! I of course erred on the safe side, and very likely I did 6 sets altogether. April 13, 2011 at 12:56 AM. The card system...

The Peak Condition Project - David M: March 2011

http://thepeakconditionproject-davidm.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Thursday, March 24, 2011. The weekend begins here in the UAE tonight and its been a long week, but on the whole a good PCP one. Feeling back on it this week- workouts are going well and diet has been good too. Going to get the most out of this last month, weight continues to go the right way, stomach muscles are occasionally visible and things are looking tighter. Sunday, March 20, 2011. Day 65 still here. Getting more compliments and questions but no one has got past the magic 3 enquiries yet. Off to a ...

The Peak Condition Project - Juan: Day 77: one PCP cycle a year, but what to do in between?

http://thepeakconditionproject-juan.blogspot.com/2011/04/day-77-one-pcp-cycle-year-but-what-to.html

Friday, April 1, 2011. Day 77: one PCP cycle a year, but what to do in between? Aren't we all close to feeling a deep burn in the brain? I feel about PCP as my left leg on rep 7 of the final set of pistol squats this week. Deep muscle burn sends a dual signal to my head, a) a great and pleasurable satisfaction, b) a great and painful yearn to put an end to it. To be honest, this is seldom the case for planks, which send only capital "B" signals. And then, right after Christmas, do a PCP cycle every year.

Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Day 88: auspicious day. I would like to remember the ease, flow and strength of today's workout. Because tomorrow looks like a humdinger. of course I looked. April 12, 2011 at 4:50 PM. Sounds like you had a good few days of repair this week. Sleep and protein! April 12, 2011 at 5:58 PM. I had to ban my crackberry on day 70ish. April 12, 2011 at 6:10 PM. But hey. just 2 more days. two more! Good luck, i really like that we can still, at day 88, see improvements on these workouts!

The Peak Condition Project - Juan: Day 85

http://thepeakconditionproject-juan.blogspot.com/2011/04/day-85.html

Saturday, April 9, 2011. WiFi on the plane compensates for airplane food. My journey to Kenya is now ongoing. I will be arriving tomorrow night in Nairobi. My rope is packed right on top, waiting for me to catch up. Wish you all a glorious final week. I'll keep my posts short and few from here till day 90 as internet access won't always be possible where I'm going. But I shall put a lot of thought and conciseness into my day 90 post and I'll look forward to sharing our victory. Stay strong!

The Peak Condition Project - Andy F.: Every Day

http://thepeakconditionproject-andyf.blogspot.com/2011/03/every-day.html

Wednesday, March 23, 2011. The title is putting the Buddy Holly song of that name (actually, he made it one word) in my head, and now I can’t get it out. (For today’s trivia, what 1980s movie featured that song, including as the lead off track of its rather fun soundtrack album? And no cheating and looking on You Tube, where there is a somewhat bizarre video of scenes from that movie with the song playing over it.). Does this ever end? Ironically, speaking of every day, on my TV there is now a RE-RUN (ir...

Sunday, April 3, 2011. Day 80 - Final Stretch. Having said that, definitely keen to keep the morning jumprope routine post PCP. Instead of going into the office previously with eyes half shut and head feeling fuzzy, it really does help to get everything revved up and ready for the day in terms of energy, instead of the previous lethargy I felt every morning. Gotta keep the morning cardio! Rock it out. Got to love Mondays. April 4, 2011 at 4:32 AM. Cool about your golf swing - - last 10 days here we come!

Tuesday, October 5, 2010. Final Post: PCP, You "Complete" Me. Well, it is high time to wrap this thing UP! In the past week, I became both a PCP alumna and a 500 hour RYT (registered yoga teacher). My hair is longer (maybe if I chopped it off I'd lose another 1/2 kgs? Sports bras really do nothing for you. More seriously though, I think my posture is a million times better now looking at these shots, something a few people at home have commented on. That's gotta be good. I still can't quite believe that 3 months of PCP are over! DAY 90 - stats.

Tuesday, 15 December 2009. So Long and Thanks for All the Fish! I remember telling a physician friend about PCP at the start of this program, and he predicted that I would probably see little change compared to other participants that might have more weight to lose, or poor diet habits that need correcting. While he was right in that the changes in my body have been subtle. And I wasn't looking for huge shifts either). The real evolution isn't something that you can capture in a photo. Lastly, I think th...
