They have studied and performed traditional music of 18th century Scotland, Ireland, Wales, England and Colonial America for more than ten years. One of the Robin triplets fledged the night before (when I scared him walking out the front door), but these guys waited last night or this morning to leave the nest. They are such quick learners! The Weaver's Studio. July 8, 2015. June 29, 2015. Tonight I cut off of my loom what has been, without a stitch of embellishment, the finest piece of weaving I have ever done. The sett was perfect. The hand, indescribable. The structure, subtle enough to be present but not overwhelming. And after 12 inches of weaving, I cut it off. All 500 odd ends of yarn, 3 yards long, painstakingly wound and measured, threaded and tensioned. Gone, in the blink of a satisfied scissor’s snip. You have your house keys....
